Nice! I wonder who they'll bring in to replace him. Maybe David Stockton or Corey Hawkins.

RMac was one of the good guys in Sacramento. I'm happy to see him going to a great organization in the Spurs.

I guess it is good for Ray but I don't like this move. I would rather have kept him.

Horrible move, a worthless second round pick for a guy who can play third string pg? If one of the pg's gets hurt, going to wish that third pg was available. Hopefully you can bring in someone better with that extra cap, but im not seeing anything great left.

The guy would be buried behind Rondo, Collison, BMac & Belinelli. There was a high chance he would have seen NO minutes this upcoming season.

Yeah the salary savings may be nice, but that's a D league role for a guy like Stockton or someone else.

Being fair to Ray.

And we are short on seconds, Vlade may be able to play the field with the international prospects.

Goodluck Ray-Mac! Classy young-fella, who will be in the perfect situation for him.

Posters on GB are acting like Vlade just traded a quality PG for a 2nd. I'm thinking most of them either aren't familiar with McCallum or just assume any move made by the Kings must be terrible.

Yeah, the guy isn't all that special. I like him but I don't think he will be a starter-level player in this league, imo. I think he's pretty close to his ceiling, imo. But who knows? The Spurs are masters in turning garbage into gold.

I think this opens the way for Andre Miller. Seems perfect. We have Rondo as Starter and Collison as backup and off guard in small lineups and Andre as bench general, locker room ast coach and insurance. Bet he joins the coaching staff when he is done playing. Before they sign him, I think we wait to we see what Stockton can do as the primary pg in Summer league.

and btw I hate bashing on RMac because I rooted for him since day 1 but I'm being a realist here. I hope he proves me wrong though.

In all fairness this was probably a move to help Ray and put him a situation where he can learn and grow while at the same time building good rapport with the Spurs. To be honest it's a win win for both parties.

It's so funny reading the general board. It is as if they all think Vlade just traded the second coming of Jordan for 2nd round pick. I truly, truly hate casual fans that think they know every player in the league because they read stats or play NBA 2k... I just wish I had the powers to ban them hahahaha

The Spurs with a very underrated move here. Drafting McCallum was one of the few moves Pete got right. Oh well, hopefully he gets a chance to show what he can do.

A bit confusing of a move. I suppose this meals Miller will be back? Rondo and Collison should have the position more than covered but you still need a 3rd string PG for injuries.

Either way I'm happy for Ray going to a good situation. Wish more players in the league carried themselves like him.

Vlade is trying to create more cap space while also adding a small asset... Ray goes to a great situation. This is a win for everyone. Vlade will put this cap space to work.

RayMc's going to be fine. I'm sure other player's are going to be pretty jealous of him actually. This is probably his best chance of earning a ring. SA is definitely a new championship contender after this FA period. And all he had to do was be a high character guy that was ready to play whenever asked.

Thanks for the effort and hustle Ray! Looks like it's paying off.
Now I have to tell my mom that her favorite King's player was traded.
