Like I read elsewhere, ironic how Cuban was the main guy in charge of leading the pack of owners to veto the CP3 to Lakers trade, and now CP3 is one of the main guys that lured DeAndre back to LA.

If the Mavs were to tank do they trade Dirk?

If they don't trade him, I'm not sure if they can get beneath the 7 pick to avoid having to gift it to Boston.

And even if the Mavs say 'screw the pick' and go for the playoffs, it looks like they're in for a real rough season. Not quite the way anyone imagined Nowitzki's swan song.

Chris Broussard doubling down on his stupidity is fantastic. That dude is one of the dumbest sports "reporters" out there.

I hate to do this next part, but if I see someone say the Knicks didn't offer the max to Monroe one more time I'm going to lose my mind. This is going to be like the Bucks willingly trading Dirk. I.e.... It didn't happen.

All fours teams Monroe met with offered a max deal. David Falk, Monroe's agent, confirmed this.

On man... Chris Paul is 4'11. That was pretty funny.

It should also be humorous to future employers.

I see Ridnour finally got waived after being traded 4 times. LOL. I wonder if his career is done. He is pretty old now, seems like kind of a tool as a teammate or at least he was with us, and his play has declined a lot in the last couple years.

This will become a trend moving forward as the "DeAndre rules" where you verbally commit to a rival team, make them sit on their hands for the moratorium period, then choose a different team. It would promote collusion and the integrity of FA would be compromised.

For those of you who disagree, what if this happened with Monroe? He verbally agrees to a max deal with us, we have our hands tied in making other moves, and he chooses to go back to DET? Inter-divisional team and DET would knowingly be screwing us with FA.

While I agree, this hypothetical probably doesn't work without this moratorium because without it, we probably don't even get a chance to speak with Monroe before he's signed elsewhere.

OMG, either this dude is insane, or he's really good at acting. I love his rant at Monta.

Because someone didn't want to play for them in the end? That's business. If I get offered a job verbally, I dont have it. It has to be on paper. I think the whole situation is hilarious. Plus, it's Mark Cuban

Edit- you can flip it to where you have two job offers and accept one first but have a change of heart, are you gonna stay at the first one just because you gave them your word? I'd do what I want and what is best for me. All day

Except that's not what he did. He didn't just agree to the Mavs, then change his mind and inform the Mavs he did so. He changed his mind, called the other team behind Cuban's back initiating all this nonsense, promised the Mavs a final meeting before he made his decision, forcing all of them to fly to his hometown to beg him to not reverse his decision, then ended up locking himself in his house with the Clippers crew and rejecting all calls from the Mavs until midnight just because he didn't have the balls to face Cuban and Parsons like a man and tell them he changed his mind. I'm not blaming him for changing his mind...it's his life, and 4-5 years of it would be impacted by this decision. But I do think he showed a ton of immaturity and professional disrespect here. He very clearly wanted to go back to LA the second he called Doc...he couldn't have called Cuban to notify him of this right after, to save everyone involved a ton of time, money, effort, and interest?

I'm glad it happened to Cuban, but DJ came off looking really childlike in all of this. Plus the guy totally screwed Dirk. One of the greatest players of this generation might have one of the **** endings to his career because of this, and wouldn't even be getting paid for it considering he left the most money available on the table ever, just to try to win.

Wow, an email from the John Hammond. I feel so special.

I wanted to directly share with you some exciting news about our progress towards building a championship-caliber team. We've come a long way in the last few years, beginning with the addition of Giannis Antetokounmpo and continuing last summer when we drafted Jabari Parker and brought in Jason Kidd to lead our coaching staff. This summer we continued to add talent through the draft, adding an elite shooter in Rashad Vaughan and trading for Greivis Vasquez. All of that progress led to today, when we made one of the most exciting free agent announcements in Bucks history by adding Greg Monroe and re-signing Khris Middleton to our young and talented roster.

Bucks fans are going to love Greg Monroe. He's a gifted low-post scorer and a dominant rebounder. We always talk about needing both size and toughness, and he'll bring both to our roster in spades. He's a double-double machine, and at just 25 years old, we think he's just scratching the surface of his NBA potential.

Khris was a huge part of our turnaround last season and it's been such a pleasure watching his game blossom under Coach Kidd. Khris can shoot the three - he's already one of the best in Bucks history in that regard - and he's added so much more to his offensive game over the last year. He's also used his length and athleticism to become one of the elite wing defenders in our league. We're so thrilled to keep him as part of our core moving forward.

The fact that Greg and Khris chose Milwaukee speaks volumes about how far we've come in the last few years. Players around the league are recognizing the winning culture we're establishing with the Bucks, and they want to be a part of it. We want you to be a part of it, too! It's just as important that we have a winning atmosphere inside the BMO Harris Bradley Center on game nights as it is on our practice court and in our locker room.

There has never been a better time to become a part of the Bucks family than now. Fill out the MVP Membership online form or contact our knowledgeable Bucks Account Executives at 414-227-0599 to take your first step to becoming a season ticket holder. I also invite you to join us at our Open House Event on July 24th.
