People need to temper their expectations for Booker. Rookies usually suck. He's gonna spend a lot of his time in the D-League.

This is unbelievable . We have too many stretch 4 and now we train Len to shoot 3pt shots?
We need toughness and hustling at 5 and now we have Chandler. I think that the Alex-tourist-Len must learn from Tyson the job of the "Big Man" .

In other news , we need need another guy (back up center) and a good starting PF to replace Markieef(half Morris).
let's see if len can make them in games. Plenty of guys can hit 3s in practice but a game is different. IF he can hit a couple a game at a good percentage it would HUGE for the suns. A guy like him who can protect the rim on d then stretch the floor on o would be a godsend to this team. It would allow them to pair him with chandler and just shut down the lane on d while opening up the pick and pop game in o and give guys like Bledsoe and knight a clear lane to drive if his guy can't cheat off him.

LeBron signed his contract didn't he say he wouldn't sign til Thompson was signed?

Is it possible Suns have a deal in place to send Keef and tucker to Cavs for that haywood expiring?
Then sign Thompson outright?

Could that be as someone stated earlier the "Major Announcement"?

Booker is about 0% to be useful in his first year, Weems or no, at least until the ASB when he's put some work in. An 18 year old dude who racked up no stls/blks/rebounds at the college level is not going to be ready for the physicality or speed of the NBA in year one, not to mention it's likely to take him time to get his shot ready for the longer line + NBA caliber closeouts.

Well said. While he's a better prospect than Goodwin, he's just 18. If the Suns aren't very good this year, he might get some playing time but other than that, it could take at least a year or 2 before he gets into the rotation unfortunately.

That "major announcement" is most definitely the presser for Tyson Chandler. There would've been a #WOJBOMB by now if this trade was in the works. Also, I think the Suns would just to a sign and trade with Markieff + PJ for Tristan Thompson instead of signing him. And that contract really isn't that valuable to the Suns as much as it is to other teams who need to clear cap space.

But either way, unless Markieff is just completely miserable, PJ + Keef are better options than Tristan Thompson + TJ Warren in the lineup.

Edited: You're giving up 15PPG + 9PPG for 8.5PPG (or 11.4pts per 36).
The Suns don't have a lot of depth right now or even a whole lot of scoring. They'd be a terrible offensive team with Tristan at PF unfortunately.

I.REALLY.LIKE.IT. I will not miss anyone on that list, the only player that I wanted back is Wright, but we have sign an upgrade in his position with Chandler.

agreed. everything will be much easier on the eyes this season

Gerald and Mook being gone alone makes the team 50% more watchable and 90% smarter

That is what I mentioned the other day as a possibility. I do not see why any team would pay 110 million to its starting power forward and then 85 million to its backup power forward. Way too much money invested in one position. I thought the Suns could do a sign and trade of Thompson for Markieff where the Suns do not have send out more than Markieff because they can absorb a bigger contract with their extra cap space. However, like I have said previously, I would not give Thompson a four year max contract. I would give him the 1+1 contract where he gets a player option in the second year. This way, the Suns are not locked in long term if he does play up to a big money contract. I think Thompson and Chandler/Len would be the best rebounding and defensive frontcourt in the league.

Dan Gilbert doesn't give a **** about paying that much to pfs. He's rolling in money and just happy to have Bron back.

Even if it was a possibility I wouldn't trade keif for Thompson knowing what Thompson wants to get paid. Thompson does one thing exceptionally well and that offensive rebounding but is pretty bad at all other aspects of offense. His range is the length of his arm and he doesn't have post moves. I'm not sure he could play big minutes with chandler because teams would just pack the paint and our guards wouldn't have any room to work.

I'm fine upgrading keif but it needs to be with a multi talented 4 who can at the bare minimum hit a mid range shot.

Why is Babby still front and center? I thought he stepped down as Team President of BB Operations and TmD took the position. Babby was right there during the Booker presser and now is in the photo of Chandler signing. Babby is a huge part of the problem this franchise has had over the last 5 years. He brought in Blanks and Hunter. He drafted Kief and brought his brother in. I don't like him. He is terrible. Oh no, he is front and center in the Chandler presser as well. AHHH!

last time i quit a job, i still gave a 2 months notice. it's no different with babby, he didn't just resign effective immediately, he gave time for a transition to be enacted. pretty standard in any big company tbh. he moves to a senior advisor role august 1
