So for someone who hasn't followed this whole thing as it unfolded, is there anywhere I can get a summary of the entire Deandre saga?

You guys are really outraged by these G rated Doc quotes? Of course it was a team building experience. The whole starting lineup was in the house along with the coach/GM and owner trying to save their season. I doubt any other NBA team has gotten together like that during July or over any other summer vacation, really.
At this point, I think Doc could tell reporters what he had for lunch and people would be outraged. lol

lol relevant? The Clippers have probably been the least relevant franchise in the NBA.
That might change if they get past the second round for the first time in franchise history, and for the first time in CP3 and Blake's careers...

Never thought I'd live to see a team that's more hate able and easier to hate than the Heatles. 2nd row exit team has surpassed them.

The NBA owned the Pelicans. Owners block trades all the time. If the NBA hadn't blocked that trade, the Pelicans would have been over the cap with no prospect or picks coming back to that team. It would have been a lot harder for the league to sell a middling team, from a small market, that played in the Western Conference, when that team had no young prospects, no cap room and no picks. The Pelicans would have never bottomed out and gotten Anthony Davis either. If an individual owner had done what the league did, everyone would be saying he made the right move.

How the hell was Fagen supposed to "call Cuban"?
Wasn't Fagen in the dark as much as anyone? Wasn't Jordan ducking his calls as well?
Pretty sure I saw it reported that both Cuban and Fegan were both trying to reach Jordan with no success.
This is some total bush league nonsense

I don't hate the Clips for what they did, they're only looking out for their own best interest..
The onus is on Jordan to do the right thing and notify the team that he made the commitment to verbally. Even if you want to renege on a verbal agreement, its just common decency and courtesy to show the team that you verbally committed to some respect. Don't have the owner fly all the way down to your house, and keep him and his franchise in the dark.. The Mavs are officially screwed.

Jordan screwed them over big time, the least he could've done was tell Cuban as a man that he changed his mind. I guess the world isn't filled wit men who own up to there word anymore.

Somebody else from Fegan's agency was aware of the situation. They were at DJ's house at midnight for him to certify the contract. I'm pretty sure they had to notify Fegan as he's the president, who in turn talked to Cuban. DJ really should've done it himself though.

Rational thinking? Things are really getting out of order here.

LOL. By the time current young Mavs fans have grandkids do you think the Clips will have a ring?
No one is checking for your team as a squad that has to be reckoned with in the playoffs. Win more than 2 rounds in a playoff and we can revisit this discussion about relevance.

I believe Fegan was fired. The agency DJ was with was supposed to assign a new agent to him, and Doc is saying it was their responsibility to inform Cuban. Honestly it does seem like Fegan was pressuring DJ to sign with DAL. I mean the dude was fired. It's never good to have an agent with an agenda.
Also seeing all these angry posts is too great

I absolutely hate the direction this franchise is going in right now and I think we're headed towards a stunning (and humbling) collapse.
