Trade thought

Post#1 » by ejs78 » Thu Jul 9, 2015 10:01 pm

Dallas fan here and I come in peace.

As we have seen the Heat wanna give Birdman/Chalmers away for free or maybe now want something since things have changed for Dallas which could include tanking. I would hate to see Dirk go and its a LONGSHOT idea but the money is close and Dirk only has 2 years left on his deal. Whiteside, Bosh, Deng, Wade, Dragic, Dirk, G. Green, Winslow is pretty darn good. Your owner and Riley always want to win. Dirk wont kill your cap numbers, Wade is on a one year deal, and Deng I think has one year left too so going for KD wont be lost.

Sorry its been a long 24hrs and this could be a win win

Don't think Cuban or Dork himself would do that deal but I'd be elated and I think that'd make us really legitimate contenders

Think I would rather give up McBob to offset the on coming salary of Dirk in next year's cap.

As much as I would love for that to happen. It is a bad-bad thing Dallas would do, Its equivalent to Wade leaving for his last years as well to, say; Chicago. I get that Dirk wants to compete and contend but you as a Mavs fan WANT Dirk to retire with you guys.

Like you mentioned, long 24hrs, I agree. A week from now you'd be singing a different tune ;)

What exactly is the trade thought you're proposing?

Dirk says he hates us and Cuban does too so I doubt it

Also Cavs have their Haywood contract but would Cuban gift Lebron that as well?

I think Dirk should just retire in Dallas, I mean he got his ring.

I would love Dirk but with the rivalry I doubt it would even cross their minds.

I rather see him win and that's not going to happen in Dallas. If they don't tank badly the pick goes to Boston.

The thing is it's probably in Dallas's best interest to tank this year and keep the pick they sent to Boston that is top 7 protected. It would also be Cuban doing Dirk a solid.

Bird/Rio for Dirk. Its a dallas fan proposing it

Dallas may go into tank mode and I guess they dont want Dirk to be in their sinking ship. LeBatard show was joking around about this too

No word yet, but Cuban stated if they didn't sign Jordan last week they would tank. Mavs have about 20million is cap space and no one to spend it on.

Not happening. Obviously we'd jump on it if offered .. but it won't. Don't you guys have the HeatLifer equivalent campaign going? Dirk is that.

Would you take McBob instead of Bird? Hell I would probably give up all three for Dirk. Anderson, McBob, and Chalmers.

I think most of us would be honored to have a future Hall of Famer like Dirk on the team, and I (for one) would love to get him for Birdman/Chalmers, but I think Dallas deserves a better deal and we don't have the resources you guys need. Dirk played his entire team for you and so he's like Wade is for us. You don't want to see him on the Heat. Let's hope that you guys can put together a good team behind him and give him the send off he deserves.

Mavs should just offer full max to Tristan Thompson and see what happens. D.Jordan isn't much better than TT, imo.

It will force Cavs to match it, overpaying TT. If they don't match, it will piss off Bron and makes them weaker.
That's win-win for us. Do it, Cuban!!!

Dirk has to approve any deal. If him and Cuban agree on it then it's all good.

I didn't see the other comments. It's great to see that almost everyone here agrees.

Man, Deandre Jordan's actions reminded me of what someone else did to us last year. It might take them some time to get back, but they'll find a way.

I'd love to beat them in a finals one day. ;-)

Why doesnt Dallas throw 20mil at TT? Cavs seem reluctant which is weird
