Who would have thought the Clippers would be less classy after Sterling's departure?

Mavs fans hold onto that anger and tell the story to your grandkids when the Mavs are relevant again.

LOL. By the time current young Mavs fans have grandkids do you think the Clips will have a ring?

No one is checking for your team as a squad that has to be reckoned with in the playoffs. Win more than 2 rounds in a playoff and we can revisit this discussion about relevance.

He is undoubtedly correct that it was a wonderful team building moment. That would be something great to say as it was happening or in a lockeroom next year. But for your first public comments after a fairly brutal 24-hour period which left deep scars on the NBA landscape to be how "absolutely wonderful" it all was, means we are continuing to be trolled. I don't mind it at this point (once I've come to terms that this is what they want), as long as the Clips fully embrace the black hat. Embrace it fully, or not at all.

So I guess it is safe to assume we are all hoping for a Cavs and Clips finals matchup?

I don't think Doc is like that. People asked him how he felt..and he responded. Maybe it wasn't what people wanted to hear but I doubt those words have any deeper meaning behind them. I don't think he said that to rub it into the Mavericks' faces. If you want trolling, what Griffin posted on twitter with the door and the tent...now that was genuine trolling. Either way, outside of Doc's "good guy" persona, I don't think this team really cares what anybody thinks anymore and nor do us fans for the most part.

All I want is a Spurs and Clippers WCF matchup. Good vs Evil. Old vs New. Fundamentals vs Flash. Small Market vs Big Market. Class vs Crass. Flopping Sensei vs Flopping Student.

Ok, I've run out of crappy ESPN narratives, but you get the picture.

I'm confused: why exactly are people made about Doc's statements? What were they expecting him to say? I see lots of over-emotional hysterical reactions but nobody so far has explained what was the problem.

-The team is going to survival camp with Jordan along with former members of the Foreign Legion and we will teach him how to be a man.

Sometimes silence is the best way to go. Frankly, his over-emphasis on how "fantastic" the situation was for the Los Angeles Clippers is rather insulting given the circumstance.

Outside of outright apologizing to Dallas about signing a player that already made a verbal agreement just 5 days prior, I don't think he could've said anything that would make people feel less outrage. Even then, people would just call it insincere and trash him anyway. Anything that he says about this incident is lose/lose at this point. Like I said, he could answer a question about what he had for lunch and people would still be mad.

You either talk in platitudes about how tough the situation was for all involved, give a heartfelt mea culpa to Cuban, or keep your mouth shut. Those are the three best pr options once you've already been a part of a pr disaster. What you don't do is say words like "fantastic", "wonderful", "great teambuilding moment". You're just pouring gas on the fire for little reason.

The onus is on Jordan to do the right thing and notify the team that he made the commitment to verbally. Even if you want to renege on a verbal agreement, its just common decency and courtesy to show the team that you verbally committed to some respect. Don't have the owner fly all the way down to your house, and keep him and his franchise in the dark.. The Mavs are officially screwed.

Jordan screwed them over big time, the least he could've done was tell Cuban as a man that he changed his mind. I guess the world isn't filled wit men who own up to there word anymore.
You guess? It's been that way since the beginning of time my poor gullible friend.. But in this case, Jordan didnt do anything wrong..He had a change of heart and broke a verbal deal..There was no law broken..There was no plan on his part to screw the Mavs..There's nothing here that isn't done everyday in every business across the globe..Go buy a fancy new car..The salesman will estatic to make the sale..The next day you can change your mind and take it back..You dont think that's as painful for the salesman? Of course..But that's life..People make legal mistakes..DeAndre didn't do anything out of the ordinary.

San Antonio is not a small market.

This has been debunked many times as well as the Spurs flopping.

I have no issue that he changed his mind, people from time to time do that but for him to ignore Cuban? Come on now, man the hell up!

who cares, still the 4th best team in the West, but Jordan has every right to go back on his promise the same way teams go back on theirs.

Doc: 'great teambuilding moment. fantastic. absolutely wonderful; DJ will be ...

Post#80 » by clippertown » Thu Jul 9, 2015 11:13 pm

Can I get some perspective on this? In order of hate, which Clipper moments are considered the worst?

1. The DJ flipping debacule
2. The Stirling racist rant
3. The Clipper treatment of Elgin Baylor
4. The CP3 heliflop
5. General flopping and whining by entire team excluding CP3
6. The CP3 theft from the Lakers
7. The Griffin fake BJ fiasco
8. General hatred of Doc
9. The fact that its just the Clippers

I just want gauge the hate. Thanks.
