Will he have distinctly larger role on offense?
Will we see him get the touches down low (like a real NBA Center is supposed to)?

I want him to work on his passing. If he can be at least half as good as Blake at passing, no one can stop our front court.

Been waiting for DeAndre to become Shaq-lite for the past couple of years.

I think we finally see the man get some motherfugken touches. I think we finally see some consistent in the paint, back-to-the basket plays, like good old big boy Basketball.

Perhaps a torn ACL if Kharma has its way...

Just remembered we're gonna be able to run again the double high screen that killed the Spurs, with him here. Maybe with a bit of luck they still haven't found a way to guard it, and it kills them again :D

And now with Pierce taking those wide open shots instead of Barnes. Looks good on paper. Lance should be able to give us more than Hawes too.

I expect the evolution of DeAndre's relationship with CP3 to be the catalyst that vaults us into the Conference Finals.

The pieces have always been there, we don't need to do anything different schematically, we just need everyone to be on the same page.

Deandre can never be Shaq light, Shaq had amazing hands, which cannot be taught. I have no problem with him getting a few post touches a game though.

Is it too much to expect him to improve his free throw percentage? Even getting up to 60% at least?

I checked and there's only 5 players last season that shot worse than 60% from the charity stripe. Drummond, Plumlee, Asik, Dwight, and DJ. C'mon man, it can't be that hard to get there, can it?

stick with your NY teams. a real Raider fan don't wish injuries on other teams' players, we simply run over them, BO JACKSON style.

what a disgrace. :nonono:

I wonder what "Karma" has in store for you, since you seem to believe that he deserves to be seriously injured.

This. Does anyone really expect any noticeable differences in his game? Maybe a little more patience on defense and a better ability to analyze the situation on OREBs - not always immediately trying to put them back up. That's one thing that bothered me and should be a trait he can improve over time. It doesn't hurt to kick them out to a likely open shooter when you're 5 feet from the basket, unable to dunk it, going to get fouled on the way up, and probably going to miss both free throws.

Realistically though he should not get any more touches, and his free throw shooting will not improve by any meaningful amount.

i've got zero problems with how he handles offensive boards. i would not want him trying to make passing out of post plays after a board because there's a lot more value in a potential putback play.

if he does the opposite and tries to pass it out you're taking one of his greatest strengths away from him and forcing him to make a potential turnover or putting the ball into the hands of someone who will literally always make a worse percentage play than a point blank DJ shot.

The problem is that it effectively is a turnover on a lot of those possessions. I'm not saying to never do it. I'm saying he needs to develop better awareness of when to immediately go up and when to pass out. There's a balance here and he gets a lot of opportunities either way. The fact that you have both bigs and anyone else around collapse on him/sag off their men on most of his OREBs because they 100% know he's going back up with it leaves a lot of open passing lanes outside.

i expect much of the same.

He's athletic enough, strong enough and moves well around the basket enough to punk some smaller Cs and drop step dunk it over them. Those nights, I expect him to get a few touches down there.

The only thing I really want is better FT shooting, but I don't expect it to happen
