Ellis & Mathews turned down bigger offers from the Kings. Not easy to lure free agents here. Rondo or Lin might be the only guys we have a shot at.

What? Not before we had interest in him and he decided to come for a visit.

Yes Dallas was considered the front runner before he even came to visit Sacramento. Wes had already visited them and they offered him a contract. Toronto, as well.

Well that proves my point that he leveraged us, does it not?

@basketballtalk: Report: Wes Matthews gets a significantly better deal now that DeAndre Jordan has spurned Mavericks http://dlvr.it/BTJ4rJ

So Wes now gets the max 4yrs $70 MILLION from Dallas!!! But where is the "they are crazy" talk the Kings got for offering 4/$64

They are crazy. Crazier than we were even considering that.

Never mind the "good guy" gesture they are making to save face here. That contract says that Wes Matthews is one of the top five SG in the league.

I guess I watch a different NBA.

And not even considering the Achilles factor.

Return to Sacramento Kings
