James Young just looks awful so far, i'm really glad the Hawks dodged a bullet with him. Same with Winslow, I'm okay with all the bricks Winslow is putting up but his defense has looked bad, and so far in the summer league he looks small and slow.

SL is never a good indicator to evaluate player(s) and how they will translation in the league. Doesn't matter whether its a good performance or bad one. Just last summer McDermott and Snell looked like world beaters for the bulls SL.

Tomorrow's game is at 8. It will be shown on NBATV Saturday at 9:00 a.m.

Sun at 8:30 and will be on NBATV at that time.

Mon at 6:00. Can't find if it is on.

Summer League roster smells a whole lot like nepotism but I'm glad Big Dog III is getting a look. I wanted him drafted last year.

I'm glad that the Hawks are going to take a look at Glenn Robinson. i was a fan of him when he was a freshman. He has really underachieved for the last couple of years. Hopefully he can find his way to become a dynamic two way player like some of us thought he could be when he was at Michigan.

Robinson is only 21yr old but already has the build of an NBA vet with super athleticism. Defensively he is alot closer than others to becoming a good to special defensive NBA player. Offensively is where he has been the most disappointing. If Korver's mantra to great shooting is to have the same form over and over again, then Robinson is the complete opposite. Robinson has one of the worst shooting habits you will see. His form seems likes its different on every shot. His feet are bad and sometimes he squares up his shot and sometimes he doesn't.

I won't have too much interest on a delay, not for my team especially. I think it was like that before though.

Hawks take down Warriors in summer league.....

Great game by Tavares! 6pts, 6 rebounds, 5 blocks in 20 minutes. Eddy was 3 of 5 from the field and showed off that famous jumpshot everybody has been talking about. He is by far the player of the game because he totally just shut down the paint for the Warriors and held the whole team to just 30% FG.

Glenn Robinson had a great game in his first appearance with the Hawks. He showed off that great defense i was talking about earlier. His jump shot still looks bad, but he was active enough on the offensive end to be a factor.

Patterson had an off game, actually a really bad game, 0pts, 3 turn overs, 5 fouls. But its just one game, no big deal, I think he can bounce back in the next game.

Ashley didn't have a good game, but i'm still impressed with him, and hope he develops enough. He is not the SF the Hawks need, but he is a Mike Scott type of PF that can fit into Budz system with his mid range jumper.

I'm really not a fan of Petteway. I was scouting him before the draft and i thought he was a chucker or volume scorer who doesn't pass the ball and fit Budz system, he is like a worst version of R.J. Hunter. He also doesn't have the defensive chops to over come his offensive short comings

Another great game by Tavares and Robinson! After what i have seen from Tavares, i'm more than excited about him, espeically his jumpshot. He was 7 for 7 from free throws, and this is why he can be a better version of Rudy Gobert.

Robinson has just been looking great, he just looks so dominate athletically, his hustles reminds me of Demarre. I hope the Hawks sign this guy, because with enough coaching, he might be the SF to replace Carroll!

Watching Patterson AMD Robinson, it makes me scratch my head even more at giving Justin Holiday a guaranteed contract.

I'm a big fan of Robinson and hope the Hawks sign him, but with that said, if the Hawks sign Robinson, he will still be in and out of the d-league all year long and not really contributing for the team next year. This is due to his age and his inexperience of Budz system. just like Dennis and Muscala, it will take Robinson a full year to learn Budz system.

With only Thabo, the Hawks need a backup SF now and Holiday spent a season with the Warriors and he has a year's worth of understanding in what the Warriors, Hawks, and Spurs do on defense and offense.

Which is why I don't understand us not signing Patterson instead of Holiday and giving GR3 the 15th spot to learn.

Patterson is simply further along as a basketball player over Holiday.

And its not that I want to be too hard on Justin. He has shown flashes defensively
..but so has lamar and he makes the right plays offensively as well. Maybe Justin really picks up the offense and I am super wrong. I want to be in this case.

I think we should award the 15th spot to greg smith on a non-guaranteed contract. he has proven himself enough to stick around in the league. reminds me of jeff ayres on the SAS. edy will surely need to spend time in the dleague so plug greg in as our 3rd string center. Gotta think the brought him in a reason, no?
