The Official Gerald Green Appreciation Thread
One of my favourite Suns of the modern era. Class act on and off the court, and one of the most electrifying players ever to put on a Suns jersey. The dunks, the impossible threes, the hot shooting. Just incredible.
Thank you for the memories Gerald.

Re: The Official Gerald Green Appreciation Thread
He was a true pro those 2 seasons in Phoenix and one of the most entertaining Suns of the last decade.
He would be a nice fit in Miami alongside Dragic. All the best for him.

That Thunder game was awesome. Thanks for good memories. But your time was up here in PHX

I tried not to like him. Couldn't do it. He performed very well for us. G'luck!

Went from being really good to being really bad in a hurry. Streakiest player I've ever seen play.

I'll miss you GGreen. You didn't turn into the dynamic player I thought you would become coming out of high school but you had a momentary renaissance here in the Valley of the Sun. Hope your chucking can help us secure a higher draft pick cauz the Heat still owe us and you will be the tank commander if you resign longterm with them after they realize they have caught lightning in a bottle.

My favorite player on the suns since Amare.
Class act and fun to watch.

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.
Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

Re: The Official Gerald Green Appreciation Thread
He'll be missed for sure.
When we got him initially I was like most of us - 'Argh Green, he's a malcontent who never reached his potential'.
But there hasn't been a better team first/cheer-leader for the Suns than Green.
Even after the benching for Archie he was always the first off the bench, and he was always his own harshest critic.
Wish him all the best with Miami and cheers for the memories!
This one's my favourite:

And the top 3 are AWESOME...

Re: The Official Gerald Green Appreciation Thread
was an absolute pleasure to cheer for. I would have been okay with a Dragic-Green backcourt if Bledsoe didn't resign. Started sucking hardcore around mid-late January and never seemed to fully recover, but remained a great teammate even when he was taken out of the rotation. For that I dub him good guy Gerald. Now that Lebron's gone and the Heat have 3-4 recent Suns players, they'll probably be the team that I root for in the East

You were awesome, Gerald, and you'll always be remembered as one of the best parts of a pretty awesome Suns team.
Now go infuriate someone else.
And please don't drop 50 on us when you visit Phoenix.

Re: The Official Gerald Green Appreciation Thread
One night in every 5-10 games he was incredible. Sadly in the rest of the games he was a disaster.
A terrible defender and possibly the most selfish guard I have ever watched play basketball. Dude shot virtually every-time he touched the ball. His assist to turnover ratio has got to be one of the worst ever for a guard who has played as many minutes as him.
Good luck in Miami, I hope you play just well enough to dupe them into giving you a fat multi-year deal next year, right in time to crap the bed during the seasons when the Heat owe us picks.

What a bunch of bologna. He jacked up 5.2 three pointers a game last year. Among players who played 19 minutes or more per game he led the ENTIRE LEAGUE in three point attempts per minute.
Somehow with the greenest light in the NBA he wasn't jacking enough up to find his rhythm? What a clown. I bugs the crap out of me when guys never have any accountability. I get that he does not want say that 2013/14 was a fluke but maaaaaaaybe the drop in 3pt % was because you were chucking them up from all-angles like an idiot and not because you were not taking enough.
