I think Chandler was very clear in his presser. He said a player has to want to change. Did not call out Markieff by name but this is what he meant.

That's right. Lottery bound. Check out their payroll

Many teams would be screwed without their best player. If LeBron gets injured, CLE is screwed. If Durant gets injured (again), OKC is screwed. If Davis gets injured, NOP is screwed. If Curry gets injured, GSW is screwed. So forth and so on.

The Morris brothers are as close as brothers can be and I guarantee you Markieff is very angry they traded his brother. And like I said earlier today, McDonough said himself he has not even spoken to Markieff since his brother was traded. In addition, there was not one word from Chandler or anyone else that Chandler can mentor Markieff. They all mentioned Len improving with Chandler being in Phoenix and also how much he should be able to help Bledsoe and Knight on the pick and roll. This all adds up to Markieff being traded. With how much drama Markieff could cause the organization, there is seriously no reason for Markieff to stay on the Suns regardless of their power forward depth or anything else. He needs to get traded.

Seriously, shut the **** up. They're not the same person.

I generally like a lot of your takes but you are supporting the wrong horse. For goodness sakes the twins split all expenses and all money. I cannot imagine a twosome any closer. I suggested that Markieff would call up Marcus from the bench on his cell phone to see how he was doing. I expect he will get an implant done so he can talk to him handsfree wherever he is. I just do not know who Markieff will pass to without his brother. Who will he discuss strategy with? That always seemed to be his brother on both accounts.

I and many other Suns Fans agree with LGS. Markieff has to go!

I also would like Tucker to disappear as well, even though he probably will work well with Chandler. I just want our younger guys with upside to get his playing time. Hell I think MIrza might be used some at the three and I do not think he has an extreme DUI.

Quite frankly if McDonough doesn't dump both Markieff and Tucker he loses some credibility in my book.

Are the Suns not holding a press conference for the Weems, Price and Teletovic signings?

Have they signed yet? Maybe McD still has some trade stuff on the burner.

Or... y'know... finalizing trades and signings doesn't happen so quickly...

I have never seen any NBA players in my life that lack accountability like the Morris twins.

They get techs every **** game and don't give a ****

Jeff put in a no tech rule and they kept getting technicals anyway

Marcus got a tech, Jeff got mad at him for it and MARCUS CUSSED HIM OUT ON NATIONAL TV

They told the police that they didn't know the victim in the assault and that nothing happened. Are you **** kidding me? They knew there were witnesses. It also probably took the cops about 5 seconds to check their mom's phone logs and expose them all after she said that she didn't know the victim either.

Now, after both are facing FELONY assault charges, Marcus is upset and feels betrayed because we shipped his dumb ass out without consent? What the ****? Let's boo the **** out of this "Bad Boy" little child when he comes back to the Valley in a Piston uni. I don't give a **** how mad that makes Thugqueef. You wanted more passionate fans, you can have it.

Flying Colors wrote:Look guys, i kinda get it. Or rather i get one real perspective. That both brothers took potentially less money to stay together. Whether you feel they would or wouldn't, they probably could have gotten more money on the open market. If Suns sign them like this with the assurance that they stay together, then yes this could be seen as a huge slight. Players talk to each other. As far as we know, they understand the Morris brothers perspective, coupled with Dragic's comments, maybe they FO IS beginning to seem untrust worthy. Hard to say really, we have to wait and see on that one.

Still Marcus kinda did this to himself, The things he did kinda began to stack, and at a certain point somethings got to give. Kieff will get over it, and if he doesn't then fine, we will trade him, but chances are he won't get to play his brother again for a while anyways. So he is better off making the best of the situation . Maybe if he does begin to play much better, he can see how this is a good move

Nope. It's only a slight if they conducted themselves like adults on and off the court. You cannot blame a team who trades you when you follow up your FA signing by yelling at the coach on national TV, teaching the youngsters poor habits, calling out opposition for seemingly no reason, getting a record amount of techs, and then capping it off with felony assault charges. All of that matters, and each alone (except for the mouthing off to opponents) is grounds for being traded). Marcus had his shot at staying in Phoenix and playing with his brother for the next 5 years. He threw that away every chance he got. I just don't see this as a slight at all and in any way unless you have the perspective that all of those things were not your fault and you did nothing wrong. Marcus is clearly that immature.

I don't understand why people don't understand this. I've said this multiple times in the past. I mean, there are situations where they could be useful if you are under the cap, but were way over the cap before you got it (eg...you were 15 million over the cap and traded out a 20 million player for draft picks..in that case, if you thought you could work another lopsided trade and use that extra 15 million, then you could want to hang onto it, but for teams operating under the cap before a trade, it is rarely useful to keep it).

I knew I liked Weems when he was younger cos I was living in Toronto when he was traded there...but yikes, CALLED him too! haha. Also 'fluid' and 'Josh Howard' featured far too much in my commentary!

I know people complain about BSOTS a lot but I think it's awesome that they produce all of this content FOR FREE. These guys don't get paid by SBNation, they don't get paid by AZCentral or Arizona Sports 98.7 or any other local news outlet. It's 100% volunteerism, and it's awesome.

I don't really see anyone complaining about them. They do an awesome blog, obviously have press credentials with the Suns, and constantly post good articles. Some of the ones by their non regular writers I don't think are all that great, but it's nice they allow people to come up with their own articles and get them posted..it's nice they give them that voice. Everyone's opinion is appreciated as long as they don't try to ram it down your throat (I guess like I do with how good KJ really was) :D .

Then SB Nation is running a pretty big scam. That sucks. I assumed they got something for their efforts. Each team in each sport has a site. With a lot of traffic & a lot of revenue generated by that traffic.

I think Dave King and Jim Coughenor will certainly, if not already, get something for their efforts from someone, somewhere. It may have already led to a better job or something. I should give Coughenor a donation for improving my vocabulary.

letsgosuns wrote:Everyone knows the Suns want to get rid of Markieff. A few outlets have reported it. Gambo said the Suns would love to get rid of him. However there are not many power forwards available to replace him. Regardless, I expect him to get traded, not stay with the Suns like McDonough is saying. I do not believe that. Hearing McDonough say he has not spoken to Markieff personally is not a good sign of wanting a player to stay. He is the GM of the team. If you value a player and want to keep him, you are going to speak to him personally after you trade his brother knowing he will be disappointed about it. McDonough has not done that. He said he hopes to at least talk to him on the phone at some point. Seriously? Talk to him on the phone? You traded his twin brother a week ago and you have not spoken to him once? Markieff ain't coming back. If he was, the Suns would be treating him with more respect. They do not want him on the team anymore.

Well, everyone knows YOU want the Suns to get rid of Markieff, but I think most of the speculation has been based on assumption. I think they feel like some here do. If he can come back, get over it and be productive, he might be our most valuable contract outside of maybe Len and Warren. If he is just not happy with the team and it doesn't go away and is obvious, I think they pull the trigger on something. They should at least wait until the court case is resolved though.

I think Markieff might have gotten back to the Suns if he wasn't with his bro. His bro is probably saying "**** them, don't call them back" or something. I think once Marcus goes to Detroit and they split, that Kieff will probably be ok. He has had success and has friends on the team. I think Chandler might help him the most (after Len).

Jim's too much of a negative Nancy, he'd fit right in around these parts.

True ... I've always imagined he posted here with the large volume of negative crapola our board receives. Then I realized he has too large of a vocabulary for most of us mere mortals and those negative posts just didn't fit his literary style.

 Didn't see this before I made my last post regarding him. I rarely have to look up a word when reading an article, but with him, it happens once or twice every time...or at least used to.
