I understand being upset and anxious about Embiids health and such but please GTFO with this extracurricular rubbish.

I literally cant find one shred of evidence that he owns a house in LA or ever lived there at all. Maybe im wrong but im pretty sure he pulled half of this "facts" out of his butt.

Actually he was on air on 710 AM with Mason & Ireland. And he said that he bought a Beach home down in Manhattan Beach. I also think that all his L.A. Texting, and how he wants to hook-up with celebs clearly has shown he has a flare for that So-Cal life. Remember, he could have had any number of East coast Surgeons do his operation, even better ones then the Doctor he chose. But he chose that Doctor because he was in L.A., not because he was ever regarded as one of the better Doctors who specialized in that type of operation. You think I am wrong ?...try googling that Doctor, and see his credentials. Yes he IS a very good Surgeon. But he is nowhere near the best. But, he was in L.A. I find that kinda funny. And even before he ever was Injured, his workouts, his one and only showcase event for the draft...in L.A.

lol yeah sorry youre full of crap

Sorry you feel that way. But everything I wrote is 100 % accurate. Whether you wish to acknowledge it or not.

710 AM is some random radio station ?..Hilarious. It's the single biggest ESPN affiliate station in the US. Sorry my fellow 76er fan but you are totally clueless and dumb!!

Making it up or not, who cares about any of this?

He bought a house? OH NO! What's next? Is he going to be mowing his lawn?

He is a 21 year old single millionaire. I don't care if he goes to hookers every night. It is irrelevant.

I care about intelligence, work ethic, passion and character. Outside of a few rough patches with immaturity, he is doing terrifically well.

He is a great kid, and everyone says that. Everyone loves him that spends time with him.

It isn't his fault that he is injured.

At least he doesn't act like Gronk. I say operate and wait.
“This may be one of the best jobs in basketball right now,” Colangelo said at a press conference introducing him as the new GM of the 76ers after Sam Hinkie resigned.

I agree with everything you said...almost. Although it is not his fault he is Injured ( Just bad luck )...but, it IS his fault, or responsibility to put everything he can into his Rehab sessions. His wantingness to learn everything he can about our system, and so on. And very clearly he has not done that. Now you can say it is because he was a 21 year old kid. But that kid comes from a great Family structure, is not a product from some street/Ghetto, or is not Intelligent. And I feel all the reports written about his lack of effort in his conditioning, or going to his Rehab sessions as reported by Keith Pompey and others carries more weight then whatever you wish to think...or me for that matter. Those guys are around him everyday, and see this.

I hope he does have his head together now. And I do wish for the best. Cause physically speaking and skill wise, he can be one of the best. I just hope he is not derailed by his own lack of effort and slackness.

Seriously, he can have a condo wherever he wants. Many players have secondary off-season homes.

Yes they do. And I have no Issue with that. But most players don't spend more time there in those OFF season homes during the regular season. Not even Injured players. Melo has a L.A. Home, and he was in New York every single day and at every game after he was shut down.

Embiid is assigned to go were Hinkie tells him during the regular season. He doesn't go hang out wherever he wants. He had rehab schedules, workouts, doctors appointments, attends road trips when allowed, etc. It was well documented that he was with the team most of the season.

There was one report by someone early on about Joel missing a rehab session(s); however, he is regularly where the team instructs him. He even joined the Brett brown on a trip to Europe to see Dario play, sat in on pre-draft interviews, etc. Joel isn't permitted to stay in LA unless directed by Hinkie.

No doubt. The Sixers arent paying Embiid $12M- $13 M to go chill in Manhattan Beach and hang with the stars although I agree LA would have off season appeal for a young player with a top of the draft NBA contract. To be honest though Id be happy with Cape May or Wildwood Crest, yeah its not LA but this isnt exactly the worst place to be a professional athlete.

man what is it about fans where they think by being a professional athlete a guy has to live like he is on the work clock 24/7
The feedback I've received from our fans is they understand we are trying to build something great. Good decisions come from having a broad set of options and making tough calls. We will do it unblinkingly. We have to be willing to take smart risks-Hinkie

Anyone watching Lakers-TWolves summer league game? Believe I spotted Embiid sitting courtside. Wearing an red tank top sitting about the FT line on opposite side of TWolves bench on right side of court. Looks like him. No idea who he's sitting with.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
