I just hope Clifford doesn't dick around with his minutes like he did with PJ. I want consistent bench minutes at SG so he has a chance to get into a rhythm and show what he's got.

i posted this in a different thread but i think it should be here too:

Things Lamb brings other than shooting:

first of all he can handle the ball & can create shots he's not just a standstill shooter

he's a good rebounder for a guard

his defense is not as bad as it is made out to be, he is really good at reading passing lanes & getting steals & his length can really frustrate people with on ball defense, where he sucks is off the ball. he completely gets lost off of shooters
sometimes, so lost that it matches his facial expression lol & I'm sure u will curse at your TV screen a few times this year because of it but overall I think he can be a solid defensive player & not a liability.

he also is good at coming off of screens which can create opportunities for other players to score & he is good at making a drop off pass to a big right after he catches it off a screen

& he also brings athleticism in transition

I think he's gonna be really good, he will have his frustrating defensive lapses but I think he could be a 15ppg scorer this season if he gets the minutes.

His name has been thrown around here like the plague years before he even got traded here and now he's finally here, mostly because of our lack of a shooting SG with Hendo on the roster combined with how easily accessible he seemed to be combined with his connection of successfully playing off the ball to Kemba in college.

I had this feeling until they essentially guaranteed Nicolas Batum the starting SG spot. Now it's just hope. Batum is a solid veteran wing that can make and will shoot 3-pointers whereas even if Jeremy Lamb was the better fit and the numbers proved of the notion, I doubt Clifford would make the switch as it would be out of his conventional ways and could be a bit controversial. The only way I see Lamb taking the starting SG spot is if unfortunately Batum get injured or would have to be in a 3-month shooting slump before Clifford's stubbornness give in

there is no way Lamb is the starter unless Batum gets hurt, we didn't dump Vonleh and Gerald for him to put him on the bench.

That and Batum is a much better player. Lamb will be fine off the bench but he does not possess the skills Batum has.

J Lamb aspires to be a poor man's Batum. He's a really good player and obviously under appreciated

Nicolas Batum is overrated if anyone view him as anything more than a role player/glue guy, and Jeremy Lamb is a relative unknown that have shown flashes in sporadic minutes at OKC. I believe Lamb is the better scorer while Batum is the better all-around player. Going to be a interesting development to watch throughout the season with Lamb expecting to receive consistent minutes for the first time in his career and Batum playing exclusively SG for the first time in his career
