I agree with this.

Lol. Letting down the fans would be rushing Embiid back if he's not ready. It's not about getting Embiid on the court this year. It's about having him have a long healthy successful career. If he has to get another surgery then that's just what will happen.

The surgery was completely successful. Anyone can tell that after the first 3 months when they check the screws, and their stability. The Sixers announced through the Doctor that Embiid's surgery was 100 %. So if he has to have another one, that ONLY means that Embiid re-injured it because he wasn't doing what the Rehab specialist said, or because Embiid Injured it again doing something off the court he shouldn't have. But those are the only two options. If Embiid has to have another Surgery, then two things should happen. One...Embiid should be outright Cut & released from the team ( Don't need no more Andrew Bynum's here )...and Hinkie should be shown the door Immediately!

probably the only surgery we're talking here is a bone graft, or something related to necrosis. 'cause his navicular isn't as thick as they would like it to be. the expectation was that after it healed it would grow in response to the moderate stress of working out. it hasn't grown as much as they were hoping. they've probably been giving it more time before follow up scans, 'cause non-invasive would obviously be much preferred.

Interesting. How are you familiar with this type of info? Medical field? Had similar surgery? Read a lot?

This is one of the worst posts I've ever seen on this board. What a moron.
I never said that. I said that usually after that type of surgery, that after the 3 month period, they can then determine IF the stress fracture stability to holding true to the screw placement. Yes, right after the surgey they can tell if the screws are in place. And yes, shortly afterwards, there can be some displacement of the screws, and the stability in the first few weeks that will be noticed at the 3 month mark during the first Inspection of the fractured foot area. But, after that 3 month time frame, if there is no disturbance of the screws, and the foots stability, then it IS HEALED Son!! Only thing to do now is continue with the Re-hab and get good flexibility and blood flow going. Now, if there is a lack of blood flow through the Injured area, then blood can and WOULD be Injected into that area, and that would Guaranteed the Bone structure of the Navicular area to continue getting it's core strength back. Only way it can be hindered is to completely fracture another area of the Navicular...and that can only happen if a Patient is doing something/Acivity that they shouldn't be too soon or doing an activity that is too risky period.
And that comes right from my friends Doctor brother. Oh, but I guess you know more Huh " Doogie " ???
When you have surgery, it's deemed successful if it's completed correcty with no issues. This does not mean you will respond to the healing process, especially for pro athletes.
ALOT can happen during healing and the rehabilitation process post surgery. You don't look at screws and say "hey your good go run and jump" .
