there still is a lottery breh.

stay classy tho

Come on bruh... If the Sixers found out their chances to keep a 1st rnd pick increased you'd be happy, too.... I do feel bad for Embiid tho.

Not when it comes at the expense of some dude's health...

that is clownshoes behavior.

and even w/ Embiid we weren't going to be better than yall outright...so nothing has really changed. There still is a lottery...

What a damn troll, by the way we still ripped you off on that trade, still one sided no matter how you look at it. It was awesome seeing all the free agents go to Sacramento!

I'm not trolling. It's relevant to the trade that's yet to be determined who wins. On one side you guys could get both pick swaps and a high lotto pick... On the other end you could have paid $30M for a late 1st in two to three years... We will see!

Yeah Kings added solid depth with good vet leadership.

Sorry about Embiid. I was hoping the Kings would have some lotto luck (they never do) so they could draft Embiid.

Sorry if u took it that way.

There were reports before the trade things weren't good with Embiid.

You were never going to lose your pick due to the swap. The Sixers are going to have a top 5 pick again anyway, so even if you won the lottery, you'd still have a solid pick after the swap.

This explains a lot of the recent moves too.
Like why we wanted Saric over this year so badly. Why Thompson and Landry aren't waived.

yep.

Jumping from team board to team board on RealGM is like walking through a landmind field. There are so many crybabies and quick-triggered mods that it's not even worth it.

Is it wrong that I'm not even shocked or even disappointed?

We were not going to be a top team in the east, so what does this change? We dont get to see Embiid this season, which is certainly a bummer. But now we have Okafor playing full starter minutes at the 5. If Embiid is as freakishly good as everyone says, then we have a full season of raising Okafor's value and we could trade him for a current stud in the NBA.

I really wanted to see Embiid play this year, but I can also recognize that all is not lost and we can capitalize on this **** situation by increasing value.

You can't even think about trading Okafor. As of this moment, he's by and large the obvious stud prospect on this team.

Okafor, Noel, Saric, Embiid in order.

It changes a lot. One of our best pieces, honestly, by far our best piece from a potential standpoint takes another year off from developing. He also loses another year off his rookie deal and the likelihood of him coming back 100% from an athletic standpoint can't be good after 2 surgeries.

I'm not shocked because this was a very real option but I'm very disappointed.

The chances of Embiid having a long injury free career went down with this news for sure, and that sucks, but it doesn't mean that he is done by any stretch. If Ilgauskas can come back than anyone can.

Okafor is the big man that we build around now, and that is a pretty great thing in its own right. Embiid's ceiling is still his ceiling.

I don't think that's the case. I am by no means a doctor, but his bone didn't heal the satisfactory amount to ensure that he will play injury free (in his foot) for the remainder of his career. I don't know if there are other factors behind the scene, such as Embiid re-injuring it, that we aren't hearing. If it's just not healed well enough, then I assume that this second surgery will be done to give a better outlook, longterm, with his foot. Otherwise, let Embiid be the judge of going out there now and risking substantially more career threatening injury in a season that means absolutely nothing for us.

I really think that this has to do with his recent growth spurt. Its the only thing that makes sense considering he had been pain free.

I say that it lessons his chances for a heathy career really only because we now know that his foot is in a bad enough state to require more surgery. I'm not saying that the second surgery in and of itself lessons his chances.

I am saddened by this news, but in a strange sense I am actually a little relieved simply because they have chosen a path, and I trust the man making the choice.

The foot after this second surgery should be in better shape than it is today, and he is pain free today. That is a silver lining here.
