I was seeing a little Vlade yesterday too, at least in his passing.

That's what I was going to write, his passing and court vision was totally surprising and new to me. His vision is already fantastic and his passing looks worlds better than advertised. However he has tons of work to do regarding his footwork and adjusting to the speed of the NBA especially on defense.

To me, he is the complete opposite of e.g. Kevin Love. While Love's stats always looked incredible but didn't really help much in terms of team success I feel like Towns could be more like what Ricky Rubio is already to us or Marc Gasol is to the Grizz: While his stats don't look overly impressive I think Towns will help his team up the winning percentage in no time.

It's too bad we couldn't have Rick Adelman of 15 years ago as our coach. Towns, KG, Dieng, and Bjelica are all plus passers for their position. They would all be huge in Adelman's corner offense.

rofl get out of here you sixers clown. Bunch of delusional homers always talking about Embiid. I told you guys MCW sucked but no, he was good until he got shipped out. I told you guys Embiid was no good from the very beginning but noo, he was the next Hakeem + Kareem. Get out of here, you have no idea how to evaluate talent

I like what I've seen out of both players so far this summer league.

agreed. Only saw the first half of today's Sixer game but though Oak looked pretty good.

Surprised the Sixer fan didn't say Wiggins sucks to

It would be kind of cool to see Embiid play and I wouldn't say anything bad about him, but Sixer fans have made it pretty hard to cheer for him. I know there's some good ones over there, but the vocal minority like 76iology...

Good effort on the boards by Towns vs the Bulls. 9 rebounds is nice. Awful FG% though and got outplayed and dominated by a guy who wasn't even chosen in the lottery. Can't blame him for being intimidated after being given the stare.

Towns is sadly an overrated defender. Too slow to guard 4's and too weak to defend C's. As I feared he is more of a project and less NBA ready than I hoped. Can turn out to be a poor man's Greg Monroe on the low side. Will be a solid guy off the bench though playing 10-15 minutes and soaking up knowledge from KG in his first couple of seasons.

Yes Okafor is better. Quit reminding us though.

It is already awful to watch Towns get outplayed by guys not chosen in the lottery while seeing Okafor scoring on triple teams.

Good luck on Embiid though.

Are people posting without watching the game? Towns was clearly our best player. He missed a couple of bunnies that hurt his fg% but everything else was nice, including rim protection and incredible passing.

Portis scored very few baskets against Towns, mostly scoring against Payne and on run outs, and no way did anyone think he'd hit that many threes.

I really like Okafor but for a guy whose only real value is scoring efficiently, he's shooting in the low 40 percent range. He'll get that straightened out, especially with better spacing, but don't act like he's having a Myles Turner like summer league. I'll take Towns every day of the week, especially after he has an offseason or two to gain strength.

On the other hand, I've never been a Lavine guy. I hope he becomes an efficient SG. He just makes so many boneheaded plays though, although he is very young and can improve his BBIQ.

Will Towns be encouraged to shoot three pointers next year or will he ease into it? I ask because i could of sworn Flip had a thing against 3pt shooting at a high rate.

Give the sixers fan a break. He obviously had a rough day with his team looking a lot worse than it did a month ago.

I cant find the statics right now but I think is saw 3 of 22 combined fg for players not called payne, towns, lavine or jones.
Probably the back to back game make us suffer a little more.

Portis was a good pick for his spot in the draft, but I will be surprised if he scores 22 points again in the summer league. The guy was shooting of everywhere and simply he cant miss. I will take more time to watch him.

Towns got 5 offensive boards and only 3 fouls or so. Good to see. Now we need shooters cause teams are not respecting us and getting him triple teamed. If lavine or heslip are cold there is no way we can exploit that.

Tyus looked a lot better tonight. He finish over contact and had a good steal over the end. He had a good burst around 4 minutes left in the 4th but the bulls scored back to back 3s and our momentum finished.
