As someone who has been a fan of his -- up until he fell from grace in Dallas -- I am just hopeful that he proves people wrong and finally puts this team in a position to make playoffs besides two top 20 players in Cousins and Gay. Rondo will either win and want to stay, win and want leave to greener pastures, or lose and find a spot on a worse team. Although we should be glad it's a one-year deal, I do think there's a good chance he leaves after his one year showcase opportunity in Sac. While I worry this may upset Collison in the long run, if Rondo leaves I feel we would be in a position to keep the ball rolling; as there will be other point guards who may want to jump aboard if we are near or in playoffs. The more I hear the consistent hate nationally directed towards Sac the more I think it just might work. But only time will tell.

As someone who went to school for journalism and now works in a paper, it's a shame how Woj has handled Sacramento from a journalistic perspective. Duck Fan Fegan...

I'm curious to see how Rondo does for you guys. He's now 2 years removed from his ACL injury and still within shouting distance of his athletic prime, so if he were to be able to reclaim his athletic form in any year, this would be it. If he can get his paint finishing game back, he can be an absolute beast. His collapse as a finisher post-ACL has destroyed much of his effectiveness.

But George Karl and Rondo... that's gonna be tough.

When Simmons asked 1 year ago in his podcast from Boogie, who's the best point guard then Boogie told him without hesitation it's Rajon Rondo. It all depends on George Karl, how he is going to run this team and how much freedom he gives Rondo.
