Warren didn't break out in college until he lost a lot of weight. He's a wing player through and through, he's such a bad defensive rebounder for a wing (always has been, he was in college too) that there's just almost no way to profitably play him at power forward. He should see minutes at 2 guard before he sees minutes at the 4, playing like a big is just so not anywhere near his skill set.

As for Booker, he gets a solid C for average so far. He looks pretty much exactly like his scouting report. He was bad from NBA 3 in college (some of the guys coming out are decent from the NBA 3, he was not) so it's absolutely not a surprise to see him missing short especially against NBA caliber closeouts. Not expressly worried about his stroke developing, overall his IQ on offense and movement are pretty good. He's also much, much more willing to go after rebounds than I expected based on watching him in college, which is really nice.

On defense, just as poor as to be expected. Best he can do is sort of but not really stay in front of guys, he has almost no way with his mediocre athleticism/length to actually be a playmaker. He'll be yet another example in a very long line of counterexamples as to why combine agility testing 100% does not matter in evaluating prospects. The good news is he can at least develop into "not a total liability" which should make him an acceptable role player but he still has a mountain to climb to get to that point.

It was pretty bad in this game, but then again, the aggressiveness was a bit one sided in this game, so it's tough to gauge, whether he couldn't stay with them, or just didn't want to pick up a foul. Maybe another game with similar match ups with more even calling, would help an assessment.

Yes, yes she is. Instead of a split screen of Bones and McHale, and about thirty shots of Dekker, maybe more of Horny's daughter? :D

I could care less what you think. Get over yourself

Not to push you further but it's "couldn't care less".

Now back to the topic, since you were clearly starting the jabbing. No retort on Price running the half set offense here in Phoenix? Do you not like Price? What? I just expect more from things that are labelled top.

Price was simply awfuL as a playmaker when he received extended playing time 20+ mp)with the Lakers last season. This isn't the Gentry led 11-12 Suns who had Nash in his last year of prominence where Price was nice a complimentary defender to relieve him at times. Bled and BKnight are both suspect as PGs and I would have preferred someone like Ennis to be still on this team.

Painful game to watch. Has Archie always been a ball hog?

Lol of course you would complain about unfair officiating in an inconsequential Summer League game

Good to see you laughing at our loss and getting in your snide little comment. P.S. The last time we played Houston before this we beat them.

Its just his desperation knowing this is his s last year to prove his worth and this might be his only time to shine since getting quality minutes in the regular season is no guarantee under Hornaceck. If Weems slides over to SG Archie will be buried in the depth chart and who knows maybe Tucker will get some playig time at the 2 in front him cauz he's money from the corner pocket

Both Archie and Warren are reluctant to pass, problem for archie is that warren is just way more efficient and better at doing what he does. They don't fit well together though

Really good analysis. That's why I hated this pick.

I mean sure he could be the second coming of Kendall Marshall. But he would be the closest thing to a floor general on this team! lol
