Robinson and Reed will handle that role. Both are high volume rebounders.

You guys don't realize it yet, but you will see, that somehow this guy just infuses a losing mentality to a team and wills them to losses by merely existing.

His defense is unimaginably awful as well.

Hopefully King waives him by December to save your season.

We all are aware that he isn't a winner but he existed for 28.8 minutes per game with the Knicks. Perhaps that was the problem?

Excellent move again. Billy King has had a great offseason.

Bargs provides scoring off the bench nothing more. He prob wont see anymore than 20 min a game. Nets are going to play an uptempo pressure heavy game hoping to get fast breaks and steals off turnovers and rebounds. Bargnani will be nothing more than a trailer for open 3's or kickout if the break collapses.

Jack Larkin Boatright
Bojan Markel
JJ Rhj
Thad Bargnani Mcchullough
Lopez Trob Reed

I'm really not mad.

Unfortunately, the large contingent of fans on RealGM are usually the dumb ones.

Exactly

A lot of the people on this forum really have no idea what they are talking about. They only know about their own teams and listen to BSPN for news about other teams.

He only played 29 games for us last season. That was good enough to get us the 4th overall pick and the 2nd worst record in the NBA.

This guy is walking tanked season waiting to happen, ask Raps fans.

You guys will realize that Barg is most likely our 12, 13 or 14th man on our team while Barg was your starting PF/C last year.

We are not expecting him to play significant minutes let a lone be a Great Fit.

If it doesnt work out, we wont be losing much.

The Raptors had him as the face of the franchise.

dont listen to this dick.

i watched every game he played for the knicks.

if he can stay healthy he's a steal. he has a ton of talent.

the knicks signing porzingas made him expendable.

the dude can ball, he isnt a junkyard dog type player with a nose for boards but his man d is above average and he can literally shut down elite bigs.

congrats. smart signing.

I forgot how he crashed the boards and played awesome defense.

Phil signed all types of bigs while letting him go because he was so "awesome".

Nets Sign Andrea Bargnani - Minimum/2 Years w/ Player's Option

If he can have the kind of revival that Blatche had, then I'm happy. A guy who used to have the pressure of the world on him now comes in to play at a lesser role... Same story as Blatche and that worked out well ( mostly).

No he's going to be a rotation player for you, he wants to play not ride the bench that was one of the issues with him on the Knicks, his confidence was shot when he was not starting. Bargs isn't gonna take the minimum and sit on the bench he would have just signed oversees and played more. He's probably your first big off the bench in which case your 2nd unit will constantly blow leads because he's a terrible help defender, I mean the worst, his awareness is that of a blind man(no disrespect to the blind). His shot has gotten worse, he cant finish around the rim, he cant pass, he doesn't rebound or box out. You better hope he doesn't play at all.

I don't get how much hate the Knicks fans have when he only came back at the end of the year... when the team was tanking hard. Basically, a team that was supposed to compete for the playoffs, turned out to be bad from the start. Bargnani was nowhere near the team then.

You must be the only Knick fan who doesn't despise him. There are good reasons to criticize his game, but this stuff is irrational... people are just on the internet looking for attention and trying to crack jokes.

My not being in game threads has nothing to do with Bargs sucking. I watched Knicks games, whether you believe it or not, I could care less.

Look back at his 29 games with us last season and how many games he logged 25-35 minutes at center while ripping down under 5 boards.

His man defense was decent but his team and PnR defense was awful. WTH are you smoking, Jack?

He shoot from long range. Why else would king sign him? We need floor spacing and options are limited. Only Bojan and Ellington can really provide spacing. That's not enough.

You said this earlier today on the offseason thread "Yeah, looks like we're going to have a decent locker room where the focus will be on basketball and leadership. Good. Dunno if it will translate into wins but I'd rather have a team lose games because they weren't talented enough instead of not giving a max effort."

If effort triumphs wins in your book why bring in Bargs?
