He needs to hit the weight room.

He was bad from NBA 3 in college (some of the guys coming out are decent from the NBA 3, he was not) so it's absolutely not a surprise to see him missing short especially against NBA caliber closeouts. Not expressly worried about his stroke developing, overall his IQ on offense and movement are pretty good. He's also much, much more willing to go after rebounds than I expected based on watching him in college, which is really nice.
On defense, just as poor as to be expected. Best he can do is sort of but not really stay in front of guys, he has almost no way with his mediocre athleticism/length to actually be a playmaker. He'll be yet another example in a very long line of counterexamples as to why combine agility testing 100% does not matter in evaluating prospects. The good news is he can at least develop into "not a total liability" which should make him an acceptable role player but he still has a mountain to climb to get to that point.

Both Archie and Warren are reluctant to pass, problem for archie is that warren is just way more efficient and better at doing what he does. They don't fit well together though

How are the Klay Thompson comparisons holding up?

What a great contribution to this thread. Are all your 90 posts as golden as this one? Thesmiley is just the icing on top.
Good to see you laughing at our loss and getting in your snide little comment. P.S. The last time we played Houston before this we beat them.

A play making PG, sadly he doesnt suit the Suns current plan to have attacking PGs.
But as a 12th guy, I wouldnt mind him. Give him some garbage minutes, or atleast in practice have him setup others.
The guy is how tall though? 5'10?

It was pretty bad in this game, but then again, the aggressiveness was a bit one sided in this game, so it's tough to gauge, whether he couldn't stay with them, or just didn't want to pick up a foul. Maybe another game with similar match ups with more even calling, would help an assessment.
Lol of course you would complain about unfair officiating in an inconsequential Summer League game

Yeah, Hornacek's wife is pretty

His shot percentage was as good as Warrens (who is clearly the better player) and overall efficiency scoring was significantly better. People who have superstar expectations for him, should check those expectations and appreciate the performance he is putting on. my $0.02.

Exactly.
For Archie... 20 years old (21 soon), putting up numbers with limited college experience shows his talent and abilities.
Just picturing him mature as a 23-24 year old defensive, slashing PG/SG with a decent open-look shot is too alluring for me to give him up. Besides he cost 1 million dollars to keep... could be cheap to resign and develop him some more until he is mature enough.

People seem to forget that Archie was the 29th pick. If we had just drafted a 20 year old guy at number 29, and he was playing as well as Archie everyone on this board would be ecstatic.
Over the past 10 year, the 29th picks have been: Josh Huestis (2014), Archie Goodwin, Marquis Teague, Cory Joseph, Daniel Orton, Toney Douglas, D.J. White, Alando Tucker, Mardy Collins & Wayne Simien (2005). In other words, at best, these guys have become deep bench players. If Archie can become a solid rotation player for us (15-20 minutes a game) - which I believe he can - we should all be very happy.
