Things just got interesting for Ty. You have to assume there were assurances involved for Jameer, right?

Maybe there is a deal in the work for Ty already....

Hopefully. By all accounts, it's the Nuggets' asking price that is very high. If we can get a young piece (ideally a shooter), and a pick or two, make it happen.
This is what Ty Lawson is up to, in the meantime:

Until Ty is moved, I expect to see Mudiay and Green getting some time at the 2. Green could work his way into the rotation if he can score remotely close to how he has been in summer league.

As I recall, Nuggets did pretty well with Nelson starting at the point, didn't really miss a beat

Ty keeps digging himself in hole, just look at his twitter and you'll find a thousand reasons to dump this guy for picks/prospects. From disrespecting Chauncey to the quote above, the list goes on and on. This guy needs to be traded before training camp, Jameer is the perfect mentor for Mudiay.

With Nelson, I count 4 point guards on the roster.
Canned in Denver.

I only like this move if Ty is moved. Otherwise I have no idea what they're doing. I wouldn't say Ty disrespected Chauncey. CB said some less than flattering things about Ty so Ty fired back very subtly, par for the course in the sports world these days.

Re: Jameer Nelson agrees to 3 year deal
Interesting. Jameer has openly talked about playing time since the day he got here, right? He wants to play. And with Ty still on the roster (as well as Green playing well in SL), that seems extremely unlikely. Otherwise, I like the deal. Nelson's leadership is invaluable to this roster and he's exactly the type of guy you want to have around Mudiay.
I really like what TC & Co. have done this summer. While it hasn't been anything flashy that will top the ESPN headlines, they're being smart. The Chandler, Nelson, Jokic and Barton contracts are bargains in this new NBA. Foye should be a valuable trade piece to a contender at the deadline. You know they're doing their due diligence on a Lawson trade. And we're in a financial position to be major players in free agency the next two years.
