It might get ugly both ways if they guard each other. Jahlil doesn't like guarding out in the perimeter against stretch 4s. We saw what Kaminsky did to him.

Its interesting that Kristaps hasn't taken one long jumper outside of 10-15 feet or so besides that one long 3 he got fouled on. Most of his jumpers so far have been bank shots in the 10-15 foot area.

 simple brain fart.....
J.R. Smith's last-second whiff left the Knicks with a sixth straight loss. But J.R. would do it again. "I think we went with the best shot," he said.

Want to see Kris play some 4 today. That's where he's going to be playing next to RoLo/O'Quinn. Let Kirk handle Okafor.

Also want to see us hit Kris in motion and his sweet spots, not just in iso post ups. He was open so many times in the pick and roll/pop.

I think it's because we have him playing center. I'd prefer he play PF so he can get adjusted to what the regular season sets will look like.

I would imagine that Galdikas will get minutes today? He would probably be the one best suited to guard Okafor. He's taller and quicker than Kirk and bigger and beefier than anyone else on the team. Would actually be a real good test, a real good audition for Galdikas. If he can do reasonable well holding Okafor in check, he could show that he can be relied on to defend the post...something the Knicks have lacked since Patrick Ewing.

24 points. 3 threes, dunk over Okafor or bust.

Didn't Okafor had trouble against Poeltl? He's listed as the same weight has Porzingis. But a bit shorter.

Frank Isola ✔ @FisolaNYDN
I've had two coaches and one GM in Las Vegas tell me they would have taken Kristaps Porzingis first overall. Latvian Mamba-mania.

At the very least, such a match-up could get interesting.

There are no reports indicating he won't play today. Please stop asking.
