And yes, I get the concept of good fits, but if you can trade cousins for durant, I wouldnt care much for fit.
If the trade was fmelo and a first rounder for boogie, well then I would expect the kings to hang up right away.
I am not even a fan of KD, I just respect/appreciate his game. Guys near 7 foot with elite scoring/shooting ability, handles like a guard, and has off the charts athleticism come along less often than guys like cousins.
So you would trade a C (arguably best in the league) who's locked up on a contract for 3 years for a SF (arguably second best in the league) who's coming off multiple major surgeries and will be a free agent at the end of the season? That's before you even get into things like roster fit (KD and Rudy are the same type of player playing the same position) and continuity.
Its an easy pass to me. And like I said that's notwithstanding the fact that in vacuum KD is a better player.
