Greg Hardy's Suspension Down To 4 Games

Post#1 » by CentralQB5 » Fri Jul 10, 2015 7:00 pm

Greg Hardy's suspension has been dropped from 10 games down to 4 games. Without further action from Hardy's part he will be able to return in week 5 against the Patriots. Thoughts?

He may still sue to get it reduced to 2 games.

He missed almost all of last year, time served. Four more games is fine by me. Considering Seattle drafted a guy in Frank Clark who did even worse acts and he's not getting punished at all, Hardy missing almost 20 games seems like overkill.

Now all New England and Patsie fans will expect Tom "the Liar in Chief" to get his suspension reduced.

See what happens when you admit guilt, suspension reduced.

Now why do you believe that? When has Tom Brady ever lied and what would make you think he would lie? Patriots never lied in spygate. Roger Goodell and the NFL on the other hand....lie all the time constantly. Hell they lied about how much time Brady had in his appeal with Adam Schefter calling him out with proof in a document. Famously in the Ray Rice case, Goodell and the NFL lied about never seeing the tape. So what makes you believe Goodell and his cronies are out for the integrity of the game and not just giving the public what they want? So anyone care to explain why Goodell is more credible than Brady? Anyone?

"After consideration of all the record evidence and arguments, I conclude that the Commissioner acted within his authority and properly exercised his discretion in finding that Hardy violated the NFL Personal Conduct Policy," Henderson said in a statement. " . . . I find that the conduct of Hardy clearly violated the letter and spirit of any version of the PCP since its inception, and of the NFL Constitution and Bylaws long before then. The egregious conduct exhibited here is indefensible in the NFL.

"However, ten games is simply too much, in my view, of an increase over prior cases without notice such as was done last year, when the 'baseline' for discipline in domestic violence or sexual assault cases was announced as a six-game suspension."

AKA Roger making things up as he goes once again. Worst commissioner in sports. Guy's punishments are mostly based on public opinion and not actual evidence and precedent. A great example would be his former employee Jets famously getting only a 100k fine (repeat offender after last year tampering with DeSean Jackson, as we saw with the Patriots repeat offenders will be seriously punished. Patriots incident was 8 years ago, Jets only a year.) for tampering with Darelle Revis when multiple other teams lost draft picks for the same offense. Then we have him giving Ray Rice only a one game suspension after seeing the tape but, after public outcry he had to increase the punishment. Integrity of the game and protecting the shield        .

I agree that Roger is a bad comish and he really needs to get his act together. But you seem like you really hate the NFL, the CFL is always looking for new fans to jump on board, just throwing that out there

Hardy beats a woman, gets 4 games.

Tom Brady "allegedly" deflated footballs, and gets 4 games.

Goodell logic.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

Except Hardy already missed 15 games. And of course, there's the whole thing that what Hardy did had nothing to do with football.

Lol. Is this a serious post? Let's say I wanted to follow a CFL team, how would I go about choosing? What's the basic fanbase/culture of each club (in a word/phrase?).

Always down to follow another league if just for the **** of it.

They have just as much evidence on Hardy as they do Brady.

The amount of evidence usually doesn't have anything to with the length of punishment. The amount of evidence only determines whether there is a punishment. Either you're guilty or you're not.

Or in Brady's case, we come up with a biased more probable than not scenario involving that it was more probable than not a 50+ year old man deflated .4 psi out of a 12 footballs in a bathroom in 90 seconds with a hidden needle from who knows where.

You must be a hard core Republican. The constant spin qualifies you as Politian. We all know Godell is a lousy Commissioner, he is also commissioner of the other 31 teams. It still doesn't excuse the lying and cheating regarding the integrity of the game, etc,. Oh, I think there was a hall of fame coach that went public almost a year ago that gave us the name Bellicheat. I think you have heard of him. Don Shula.

What part did I spin? Did the Jets get busted for tampering two years in a row and not receive any punishment or not? There's no spin there he ignored the precident that he set taking picks from Detroit and San Fransisco for tampering. Did the Chargers get investigated deep in the organization for stickum? Nope. Did Vikings lose picks for heating footballs? These are stone cold facts. Maybe you're the hardcore republican. Working for fox news?
