We might have less tanking competition this year.

The Lakers, Knicks and Kings made ping pong killing moves. We might be the only outright tanking team.

Melo, Melo, Melo. Trimble I mean. He's going to be a top 10 pick.

Possibly. I think more like in the 11-15 range. So Heat pick :D

I love Dunn, Jackson, and Trimble. Guarantee Hinkie will get 1 of them.

Dunn is the guy. He has some serious game...an athletic freak.

PG is really strong in this Draft, a lot of depth, also PF, the best spot in this class.

So the idea of 4 first round picks next year got me excited enough to finally get working on a small site.

I've been working on this since the draft and finally got around to posting a beta version of an NBA Draft website.

I'd love for you guys to take a look at the mock http://nbadraftdigest.com/2016mock.html and give thoughts. Feel free to go over to the rankings too.

There's been a lot of people bad-mouthing this draft, but I just don't see why. Guys like Skal, Simmons, Ingram and Dragan Bender are hugely talented. I'm not as big as Jaylen Brown as some other people. I get the same feeling from him that i got when I first saw Harrison Barnes... Basically... Yeah, he's good, but I don't understand the hype.

2017 also looks exceptional with Tatum, Giles, Jackson, Smith, etc...

My biggest critique of him is his lack of standout distributing skills. It's what keeps him from potentially being an offensive star and probably lumps him into the instant offense off the bench, fringe starter category.

We'll see how he looks after his sophomore year. He could make a drastic improvement to that area and shatter the glass ceiling I put on him.

2016 guys I like (not top guys):

Melo Trimble (PG), Maryland
Caris Levert (SG), Michigan
Jabari Bird (SG) and Jordan Matthews (SG), Cal

All four guys could be interesting for the Sixers, at their varying stages of picks.

Lavert , Ingram and Murray fit our team like a glove with Okafor and Noel front court. Murray is a smart big point guard who can hit the 3 plus drive and dish . Ingram is a Durant ite. Lavert is a length combo guard who is versatile enough to defend 1-3.

I watched a lot of Michigan games last year and Levert is sort of underwhelming as a prospect. I think he'll be a very solid bench wing for 10 years but he's not a star and probably not a starter on a very good team.

Agreed. He will have to play a lot better next season for me to change my mind.

Caris' appeal is his boom potential at the next level. He's a two-way, 6'7" athlete with ball skills. The only thing that can prevent him from being a legit starter in the NBA is unforeseen personality deficiencies or environmental factors. We'll see how this upcoming draft shakes out, but I would have taken him in the lottery of this past one.

Have you watched him play much? He's one of the lowest BBIQ guys I've ever seen. Constantly makes the wrong play but gets bailed out by an athletic advantage that will be chilled at the next level. And now he's coming off a serious injury and will be 22 his rookie year. He'd have to have a fairly incredible year or this draft would have to suck for me to even consider a top 15 pick on him.

Three questions...
1. Out of the "elite" prospects, who do you like the most?
2. Any returning players who you really like?
3. Incoming freshman who are outside the top 10-15 who could rise up?

4 FIRST ROUND DRAFT PICKS! This thread is sad on so many levels. 1) The season hasn't even started and the sixers are looking forward to the draft. 2) Why not trade those useless picks for some vets from winning programs? 3) I would protest this crap! Ownership clearly doesn't have winning in mind. They're just filling the roster with rookie contracts to save money while filling seats at the Wells Fargo Cntr, and filling Philly fans with false hope.
