Not that anyone cares, but my thoughts on my new laptop after having it now for a week.How does it stack up vs my 6 year old Toshiba Satellite?

Pros
- super fast (better be for 12gb of RAM and i7 processor)
- lightweight
- amazing display
- 5 hours of battery

Cons
- I am not a fan of the keyboard. My last laptop had the best keyboard ever. I miss that keyboard
- Audio is worse than last laptop
- Has slightly shorter cord than last laptop (not as much of an issue as long as battery life stays good)
- edges are sharp, kind uncomfortable to type on for extended periods.
- Windows 8.1 is stupid, but fast

They just launched this version of laptop on June 1st. I had been researching for months and couldnt find exactly what I wanted. Then I saw the ad on the Lenovo website for this new upcoming model and it was very close to what I was looking for, once upgraded. I waited 3 weeks to see if any reviews hit the net. I was nervous about being a 1st gen user on a new laptop. Never found a good, in-depth review. I think they ran a lot of specials in order to get some initial sales moving. I jumped when they dropped the price 300 bucks for a short time. I figured it was a risk worth taking. I originally was only going to get the 8gb ram version, but went ahead and spent another 80 for more ram and better graphics card. I still hate the design of the edge of the laptop where you rest your hands, its sharp and not comfortable - at all. Perhaps something that will get changed in later versions. Something that would definitely have been noted in a full review. Oh well. #guineapig #sorehands #biznation
