Who's your second favorite NBA team?

Post#1 » by Laimbeer » Thu Jul 16, 2015 11:51 pm

Personally, I really enjoyed watching Golden State this year and since they beat the Cavs it puts them over the top for me.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Minnesota (since they drafted Kevin Love). Only other team I sorta like.

Golden State because I've been a big fan of Curry since he was just a freshman.

I like Orlando's roster. Probably my 3rd favorite team to watch for next year at least.

I have always liked the Portland Trailblazers. I started watching the NBA around 2003. Rasheed Wallace became my favorite player on the Pistons (I was a kid and started watching in the playoffs lol). However, I was confused when Rasheed wasn't on the Pistons in NBA live 2004 lmao. So I used the Blazers in the game a couple times and just liked them for some reason. Brandon Roy also ended up being my favorite player of all time.

Clippers, warriors, and whoever happens to be playing against the Cavs.

Pistons fan only. I do like seeing how players are doing that I liked in drafts that we passed on or they didn't fall to us. Examples Gianni's and porzingis

There is no second favorite for me, in the sense your describing. There are my favorite teams to ridicule, and laugh with glee at thier failures. It's sick, I know, but I do love it so.

List of Zeebneeb's favorite scorn victim's :

1.)Knicks

2.)Raptors

3.)Celtics

4.)Lakers

5.)Bulls

All of these are due to thier fans mostly, and how they entertain discussion on Thier boards.

Great topic. I'm more of a fan of individuals over teams but my Top 5 are:

1. Pistons - Yea. Born in the city. True to the city.
2. Clippers - because of CP3 he is so great, Crawford's handles and elite streetball style, and now Blake who might lowkey be the best player in the league. Adding Stephenson, Pierce, and Josh makes me like them and their edge even more. Crawford might/should be gone :(
3. Cavs - because of Kyrie Irving and how amazing he is (SO hurt to see him get injured), Iman Shumpert and his amazing hands on defense, and because of history for my generation with LeBron. Kyrie is THE MAN. Best in the league maybe Kyrie, Blake, Bron, CP3, and Ant. Davis are my 5 right now.
4. Warriors - I have liked them for a while when they had Monta, but now primarily because of Andre Iguodala and Draymond Green.... such excellent team players. Almost shed a tear seeing Iggy get Finals MVP. Watching Steph and Klay shoot is SUPREMELY entertaining too.. Nothing like Steph shooting 3's
5. Pacers - Monta Ellis, Paul George, and... RODNEY STUCKEY. Monta is one of the most disrespected superstar caliber players of all-time I think. 0 ASG?!? I root for PG because he went toe to toe with Bron for a few years and that leg injury I really hope he comes back great, and I really want to watch Stuckey now that he knows his role. As much as I ragged on him while he was here from 09 on I never hated him we just had him in a role over his head, and he ruined us. :( Hill, Monta, Stuckey and George on the same team is really interesting to me

I'm a huge Lebron fan so I cheer for whatever team he's on.

I respect the hell out of the Spurs so I often want them to win.

I really like wiggins and like the amount of young talent on the wolves so I often want them to win.

I don't like them by any stretch of the imagination but I live in Toronto so I keep track of the raps, mainly so I can talk to friends/coworkers. I don't really like the team at all, to be honest. I think they're good enough to overachieve but that's about it.

Team I actively dislike: pacers, bulls, Warriors, clippers.

This is rare, normally if your a piston fan your born to hate Cleveland. Being that lebron is the face of that franchise, i find rare times that i want to cheer for him. I do appreciate his play though

Don't have one. Definitely enjoyed how Golden State plays though. I usually hate Paul Pierce (and the Wizards), but I enjoyed watching him (them) while rooting against Toronto lol.

I dislike a lot of teams, but still enjoy watching just about any random nba game.

I have always kind of rooted for the Spurs they know the winning formula, also love Pop and his coaching styles, plus his interviews. I have also always liked the Suns. That team with Amare, Nash, Marion, Joe Johnson was one of my favorite teams ever.

I don't really have a second place per se. There isn't really another team I watch whole games of outside of the playoffs. In my youth, prior to Shaq/Kobe's repeat championship, my second favorite team was (gasp) the Lakers. I was young, naive, lived in Southern California, and everyone else around me liked them. So sue me. That all vanished when I was about 14.

I found myself rooting for the Grizzlies in the playoffs last year, and the Warriors after they got eliminated. So yeah, one of them.

Yeah, I'm usually a fan of players so it's only recently where I've become a fan of the actual team so it's harder for me to feel the team rivalries. I'm a Vikings fan but absolutely love Aaron Rodgers and like watching the packers play which is really weird since most Vikings' fans hate those cheeseheads.

Ya, i think that make me hate the packers even more. The fact that i love both Farve and Rodgers for being such amazing talents and they QB for our #1 rival
