Ty Lawson Traded To The Rockets

Despite a second DUI arrest in the last six months, embattled Denver Nuggets guard Ty Lawson is generating interest on the trade market, NBA sources told SI.com. Houston, Detroit and the L.A. Lakers are among the teams that have expressed interest in Lawson recently, and there remains a strong possibility the Nuggets could unload Lawson before training camp.

Maybe after he gets waived. Don't see a match salary wise unless we move on from Hibbert already.

The Lakers have pressures on them to put a winning product out immediately that a lot of other rebuilding situations don't have (media/Buss), so if a win now player like this becomes available for little I can see them allowing to D-Lo to come along slowly

Definitely don't want Lawson at that price he's got right now, too much risk for the reward for a team like ours.

However, off waivers I'd at least do my due diligence and see how he's doing.

There are some rules as to what teams can claim a player off waivers but I'm not sure how that works, anybody know?

If he gets waived ala Deron and Smith then I say give him the room exemption to outbid teams. He would actually round the team out at the room it's low risk ...

Dumbest rumor so far. Lakers drafted a star to be pg, still have not resolved what to do with last year's soon to be star pg... Oh ya, let's slow down the development of these 2 pg/sg and get a problematic pg who needs the ball a lot to be effective. Anymore dumb rumors ?

I don't see anything that would work out salary wise unless it was Kelly, Young, Sacre. Throw in cash and a future 2nd and make it happen. I would gladly do it if that was the case.

Beggers can't be choosers and we can easily make Russell/Clarkson/Lawson as the 3 guard rotation in the backcourt. You throw in Lou Williams for 25 minutes a game and Kobe to the SF and we're in good shape.

It would put a lot more balance on this roster and give us great guards to work with over the next 5 years. Lawson is just entering his prime.

I am really torn on this move... Part if me wants the young core to get minutes & part of me wants to win a few games... We are 1 & 3 in Summer League with 60% of our starters which not a good thing... I am not sure if he is the piece but we need some talent...
