Summer League for 2015

It looked to me like Mudiay just had a bad game for him yesterday, it appeared they were trying to play him off the ball more and he did not do as well as I hoped. However we know it is a learning process and will probably take a year or two for him to become a really good PG but he looks like he has a good chance. Until that they can start Lawson or Nelson and let Mudiay grow into his role.

I have been really impressed by Joffrey this summer league, I think he will make a good 3rd or 4th big next season.

So mudiay, the guy you've all convinced yourself is better than Johnson, drew 0 fouls and had 7 turnovers after a shabby performanc against napier. but rather than bring that up, you bring up the better player which we passed on.

Yall know damn well by this point that the nuggets fcked up by passing on johnson lol. Aye even i can admit that i was wrong about hezonja since he impressed me more than Winslow but yall just on some other ish. Outside of passing, theres not a single thing mudiay does better than Johnson.

I have yet to see anyone comment on mudiays shooting form. Yall said Stanley has a low release point. How would you guys describe mudiays jumper lol? What are your thoughts on mudiays ast turnover ratio?

You do know that there once was a man in summer league who scored 47 points in one game? Well that is know known as the best summer league performance so who could this marvelous man be? LeBron? Steph? Anthony Davis? Nah it was Anthony Morrow. You can't start judging players by how well they play in summer league because most players who end up being superstars (ie. Chris Paul, Derrick Rose, and John Wall) end up not even averaging 10 points per game. It's a learning experience and they're all enjoying it. Now Stan might become a superstar as well, but the nuggets went with Mudiay because the questions he had with his game can be fixed quicker and he already looks like he has NBA skills before entering the NBA.

Mudiay shined in Denver's weeklong stay in Vegas, exhibiting the poise and playmaking that had the Nuggets thrilled he was there for them with the No. 7 pick. He averaged 12.0 points, 5.8 assists and 1.3 steals in four games and was one of the top rookies on display.

''We knew he was a natural playmaker and certainly he excels in transition,'' Nuggets GM Tim Connelly said. ''What stood out in summer league was his patience and letting things develop. I think it's a term that's rarely used anymore. He's a true point guard.''

Stats: 12 points, 5.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds

Mudiay didn't win the Most Valuable Player award for the event, and wasn't even named to the All-Summer League first team. But what Mudiay did do in Las Vegas was rather remarkable given the fact that he needed to transition from playing less than 400 competitive minutes in China last season to the NBA game. Mudiay's performance made you remember that just a year ago he was named the consensus No. 2 overall high school player in the country behind Jahlil Okafor.
