If Hump shoots 36.5% on 3's and plays 25 mpg, the Wizards are going to be damned good.

Not only that, but the Wizards would become a really exciting option for Durant. Humphries would give Durant the security of knowing he won't have to log 36 minutes a game at PF.
Right now, about 38% of Humphries' shot attempts come from 16-22 feet. He hits 45% of those shots. If, instead, he shot those same long 2 attempts from 3-point range and hit 36.5% of them, his eFG% on those shot attempts would 55%. His overall eFG% would improve from 47.3% to about 51% and his TS% would climb from 51% to 55%, all while creating more floor spacing for Wall and Gortat to operate. Humphries would score exactly 1 more point per 36 minutes on the same number of attempts.

The regression suggests Humphries might shoot .365 from 3pt range. It suggests Nenê at .304. Based on last season's numbers. Among PF types who attempted fewer than 2.0 threes per 100 team possessions last season, Humphries ranks 3rd in "potential 3pt%" using this regression behind Pau Gasol and Blake Griffin. For what it's worth...
Kind of surprised you posted this. I think you know stats don't work that way.

I know that Humphries didn't shoot alot of 3s last season but it won't take that long for him to get the shot down. He can shot long range stepping a few feet back isn't gonna be a game changer for him. Now that Nene is gonna be backup C I don't expect Porter or Dudley to play PF until playoffs so either him or Gooden starting at Pf.
