No, no, no, I've established a lot more than that. I've established that a player need a sum of parts to make a championship caliber team. Perceptually Kemba would be viewed in a different light if he had at least one other star or superstar on the team that could help carry the Hornets to contention. I've established that it's not Kemba that's holding the team back, but a lack of surrounding talent. It's not that difficult to comprehend. Dwyane Wade is one of the greatest shooting guards to ever play the game, but even in his prime he needed a sum of parts to contend and when he didn't he missed the playoffs or was bounced in the 1st round. I want to omit that last sentence before you think I'm comparing Kemba to Wade, but it should resonate as sensible to a sensible person that even a great player can't carry dead weight on a ill-fitted roster

I'm paralyzed with the direction to take this DWade thing. Too many choices.

Too funny - because that's exactly where I went, because it's what you did.

See, I figured it would go over your head to deter the point in principle. The statement was to say that even a great player that's much better than Kemba need a sum of parts. There's generational talents like LeBron that can carry dead weight to contention, but even he understand that the groundwork and foundation of that is playing as a team

I'm not entirely sure what's wrong with the Wade comment, even HoF-level players need help so obviously Kemba would.

Certainly. It's an odd comparison though given it was justifying how it's different from the Spurs. Not to mention Miami sucked hard before Wade and then went to Conference Semis his rookie year by dispatching Charlotte

Wade as a rookie had a PER of 17+ which possibly explains their rapid turnaround. He was a generational talent from the get go.

I used a extreme parallel. Its' not that odd and it wasn't a comparison. The justification was that a player need surrounding star caliber players in order to contend which was originated from a analogy that Kemba/Kawhi/Duncan would fair much better than Parker/MKG/Zeller if you swapped point guards

I know what you're saying and just keeping it light. I understand.

Case in point - the 2015 NBA Finals.

Love that GS won with ball movement and Iggy as the MVP

Love that SA won the previous year with ball movement and no dominant scorer.

KIA gonna get Kemba crucified. They come out with pitchforks on Kemba. I know to stay outta these debates to avoid getting suspended.

I think some of the criticism Kemba is getting here is kinda unfair to him. It's not like he doesn't play hard, and I don't at all see him as a low basketball IQ player. I don't see his shot selection as an issue because Kemba is just one of those players whose play style is built around taking a lot of difficult shots. Sure, he's not a top 10 point guard or anything, but he deserves a chance this year. I think it's kinda crazy that people are actually looking at Lin as his potential replacement.

I have no connection to UCONN but hating on Kemba is silly. If you want him to be a sixth man, fine, but bring someone in better. Easier said than done

They could trade him in a package for Ty Lawson or Kyle Lowry. I'm not quite sure how good that would make the team as a sum of parts. Definitely wouldn't be contenders

Because somebody gonna get too offensive to one of my pro-Kemba rants and say something smart and my reflexes gonna say something back and then I'll get punished. Lol. I've learned. No more Kemba defenses.

I'd MUCH rather Kemba on our team than Lowry. By a large margin.

People continuing to post Walkers stats on a horrific 21 win team where Dunlap gave him free reign is nauseating. We can't win with him playing like that.

Too lazy to look. I'm certain I saw them tiday, and recently in regards to how Dunlaps offense catered to Walker, and that's why he put up better numbers, and that might be the case.

But there really wasn't much structure to Dunlaps offense. Walker was able to do whatever he wanted, and that does help him, but only an elite guard like a Westbrook can do that and win games.

I think Walker is going to have a massive year, though. All star year.

Just a feeling.
