First "sum dum **** CBA league", then "PAGING JDIDDY" to catch his attention, then "PSST, jdiddy it's ok, come here lil buddy" when he was completely lost. The comment about jdiddy's "No!!! I will be on right now" post being existentially mindblowing, the quotes such as :kennydorglas wrote:kennydorglas- if you take 4 days to make a pick then you must come back with insider info. Hope he'll be running the China league again next season
Yes, unless he moved up, he should run it.
I nominate aIvin Adams for GOAT Fantasy League Commissioner. It takes a special sort of man for someone to still have their sanity after running that league.

Burningheart once called Ginobili "bitchmade" and I've never forgotten it.

On Steve Nash:

Miklo wrote:Definitely a lot of entertainment from Frank Lee, SDU when he used to post more, the Kerrsed sig era, that Stro fan LOL, LukasBMW's drunk posts about cars and stuff, the board's bipolar reactions to the insiders, and man there have been some classic game threads. My top 5 comedy categories countdown…
5) Accidental hilarity from Sundamental
4) Awkward conversations when there’s a gorgeous unknown in somebody’s avatar/sig/good-luck-charm, and half the board is trying to figure out who she is so that they can then go[Ogle] & find out whether she’s still clothed in her pics single and then hunt down her best gallery/video phone number so that they can kill kittens give her call to ask her out.
3) As nevetsov mentioned, Frank Lee’s witticisms. I’d put JVC and aIvin adams in the same category.
2) Meme brilliance from Kerrsed. The evolving tank (2011?) was iconic. Plus his dispassionate/deeply-passionate/passive-aggressive?/i-dont-know-how-serious-he-is?!? meme-filled campaigns in defense of whatsherfaceteenagerwithtoomucheyeliner.
1) When newbies have come in and tried to hit on Kerrsed.

Didn't he also start the whole "Floppy the Clown" nickname? I still chuckle at that one, it's just so relatable.

I love BurningHeart. But he'll never love me. I don't think he loves anything. I think the anger, the pain, the hatred, is what fuels him.

I think he burned all of his Suns paraphernalia about 6 months ago and swore off the team. I wonder if he will be back. Maybe he will meet a girl and his heart won't be burning so much and he will come back without the **** this **** I can't stand it any more. Get these **** punks off my team!

some of jdiddy's and sunsbums posts in the draft thread last yr made me chortle at my desk at work.
i'm retired as commish bc i aced the SumDumFuk league. it will be sad to move on but i'm sure the next soldier in line can keep the regiment operating at its typical levels

You're not going to run the sumdumfuk league? You better participate...we need your commentary...I don't mean to add pressure..you don't post until you have gold...unless it is is IBTL.

The half bottle of wine story! I couldn't remember if it was here or the ESPN boards.

Alvin said he got promoted, so if we're still running 3 leagues next year he'll be in the D-League.
Miklo got relegated so I assume he'll be the new sumdumfuk commish. Feel sorry for him already

I hope Burningheart will show up again sometime, miss his black and white no bullschiyt view on things. He's like Rorshasch from Watchmen "Never Compromise".

Like in the Nash to LA thread from a few years ago :
His Laker/Kobe hate posts were the best. The only other poster I remember who could match him in Kobe disection was this Spurs fan called Harlemheat37, that guy posted some amazing Kobe bash stuff like this : (was posted in 2008 before Kobe finally managed to win a title without Shaq, in the "Is Kobe the most popular athlete in the World" thread on the GB)

Like in the Nash to LA thread from a few years ago :
BurningHeart wrote:I hope he crashes and burns. 11 points, 4 assists a game.
I hope he doesn't work well with Kobe Bryant at all.
I hope they come to blows, the entire locker room unravels, and the whole team disintegrates into nothing.
I hope he fails in every single way possible.
The Lakers are the enemy. Steve Nash is the enemy. Until he comes back to Phoenix for his Ring of Honor Ceremony, and maybe even then, he's dead to me. If he wanted to go to the Lakers so badly, he should have gone right ahead and done so for three million dollars a year. Nothing was stopping him from doing otherwise. Screw him and screw the Phoenix Suns organization for acquiescing.
Sorry if that's not cheery or diplomatic enough for you. You want to root for a Laker, go right ahead.
This thread is doing a damn good job in getting me to open up about this.
BurningHeart wrote:If he cared about his kids that much, he would have stayed in Phoenix.
If he cared about his kids that much, he would have moved them to LA with him.
If he cared about his kids that much, he would have taken the three million dollar offer and not forced us to deal with Satan's purple and gold minions.
If he cared about his kids that much, he wouldn't have gotten a divorce from their mother.
No. He wanted it all. And now he's got it.
**** him.

Harlemheat37 wrote:by popularity, I think it means "well-known"..because for as many fans that Kobe has, you'll find almost as many haters(for good reason)..
honestly though, it's ridiculous..I'm with Trade Machine..I can't cheer for team USA if they have thugs like Kobe on the team..I don't feel comfortable having a guy like that representing ME and the country I live in..why wasn't there a petition against this? parents need to step up..before they have "sex talks" with their kids..before they have the "Santa Clause, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy" talks with their kids..they need to have the "Kobe" talk..they need to explain to their kids that they should never cheer for a guy like this, and give the reasons..if their kid's argument is "I love Kobe because he's so good", then you reply with "how many titles as a #1 option does he have?"..
Lebron James is worthy of popularity..he's one of the best leaders in the NBA at a young age, and a great teammate..Dwyane Wade? great leader that single-handedly won an NBA finals..a positive role model that even gives chances to ugly older women like Star Jones, just because he's a nice guy that doesn't judge people..Chris Paul? brought hope to the lost city of New Orleans and took their minds off tragedy by excelling on the basketball court..Tim Duncan? an ultimate winner, as unselfish as they come..KG? one of the biggest team players in NBA history that showed that teamwork wins titles this year..a guy that took in a troubled kid and gave him a good home..Dirk Nowitzki? a guy that kept signing autographs on Punk'd, even though the kid was annoying and asked him to sign a Lebron James jersey..Paul Pierce? a guy that will probably have knee problems for the rest of his life, just so he could bring a championship back to Boston..Yao Ming? a global icon and as nice a guy as you'll find..Dwight Howard+Chris Bosh? 2 likable guys that love joking around and entertain the fans as much as possible..
there are many more as well..the NBA needs to market the good guys in the game..we need the parents around the world to teach their kids about the differences of "good guys" and "bad guys"..the world would be a better place..
