I don't know, man. I'm pretty confident this will be Vernon Macklin's breakout year.

I know he's got some PT clearly because of injuries to Stanley and Meeks, and I'm a bit disappointed he hasn't been truly consistent enough to play more minutes when our bench is this limited but... I've seen the flashes I thought I'd see. Nice handle, smooth stroke, and nice composure. His timing and defense should get better with time but I like Hilliard. Downgrade Klay Thompson 2.0!

Why even make that comment? Klay has a chance to be a HOFer. Hilliard is trying to stay in the NBA. With that said, the kid can play. He's got the right build and athleticism. He just needs to develop and i believe he'll stay with us next season as well. I think SVG is believing in the development of players. He's doing many things at once. He's building for the future, building to contend now (next season) and he's done a great job at it.

I like Hilliard and Bullock. Trades are possible, but as it stands, next season we go with Harris, Morris and SJ getting the majority of the F time, and Drummond and Baynes at C. Bullock can get PT at SF in small ball lineups, and he and Hilliard might get PT taking turns as the 9th man in the rotation - along with a defensive specialist PF to be acquired. I also see the Pistons looking for a defensive specialist backup PG - something we can go with because Harris, SJ and Hilliard each have the ability to run some of the offense.

I just see Hilliard and Bullock as assets that can only trend up from here on out for one last trade or something.

But Hilliard has shown some decent minutes here and there.

Kilo wrote:He'll play a lot of minutes - in Grand Rapids. No room for him on the 13 man active roster barring an injury. Five wings will be KCP, Meeks, Morris, Johnson and Bullock. Bullock gets the edge over Hilliard in that he is a 2/3 whereas Hilliard is a pure 2-guard right now. Steve Blake will be the other player inactive when the roster is healthy.

Jackson|Jennings|Dinwiddie
KCP|Meeks
Morris|Johnson|Bullock
Ilyasova|Tolliver
Drummond|Baynes|Anthony

Hilliard has looked better as a third string point than Dinwiddie imo

edit* didn't realize how long ago this was posted, somehow completely missed BJ and Illy on there
