Tjones, KPap, Prig, Dorsey, and Johnson would do it.

we dont have the roster space to do a 5-for-1 deal
Actually Tjones, KPap, Prig, with one of Johnson or Dorsey works. So it would be a 4-for-1 deal. The Nuggets currently have 14 player on roster. They'd have 15 players on their roster after they let Prigs and Papa go. The Nuggets have the roster space.

KPap and Prig are non guaranteed deals, so Nuggets can cut....if not a 3rd team will have to be involved

I don't see Lawson and Harden as a good fit. Harden is a ball dominant guard and Lawson needs the ball to be effective. It would also give the Rockets one of the worst defensive back courts in the NBA. Beverly is a much better fit next to Harden.

I very much agree with this. I never understood the narrative of Houston desperately needing a PG. Yes an upgrade from Prig/Terry would be nice, but not a starting ball dominant PG, not with the sacrifice of Terrance Jones. Getting someone like Mo Williams, Steve Blake, or Jarrett Jack as a second ball handler off the bench would have been a much better pickup (or a point forward like Josh Smith, but oh well).

Kobe needs a Fisher, MJ needs a Harper, Wade needs a Chalmers, and Beverly fits well with Harden.

Also Lawson fits well in Denver's fast pace offense, which Houston used to play but not anymore with the addition of Dwight. Harden + Lawson would be a defensive black hole and drain Ariza to death on the perimeter.

My Lawson to Houston trade proposal

Papanikolaou(cut), Prigioni(cut), 2 future first and rights to Dekker to Denver

Dorsey, Johnson, a future 2nd to Philly

Lawson to Houston

Denver gets 2 future first picks, the rights to the 18 overall pick this year and a lot of cap space.

I'll pass. Last thing I want in my team is another troublemaker.

I keep reading this on realgm but it overlooks the fact that he was 3rd in assists last season and has a long history of playing off ball in a 2 guard system. Like I said before, the way he defers was kind of frustrating actually.

I don't want him to go to Houston either, but not because I don't think it'll work, it'll make Houston a lot more versatile. Lawson's great at running the pick and roll and would take some pressure off Harden as the main scorer.

I get that they wouldn't be the greatest fit defensively, but Lawson would make the Rockets a much better team overall. After the Llull and Smith situations the Rockets need a secondary ballhandler more than ever. There are really a lot more pros than cons.

Both Harden and Lawson can play off ball. Him and Harden seem to hang out off the court. Lawson would probably get half of his minutes with Harden off the floor. Lawson is less ball dominant with a lower usage then most pg's near or above his level(Lowry, Teague, Bledsoe, Irving, Wall). Lawson's usage is only 4 points higher then Beverley's. Beverley isnt just going to disappear, he will still be a major part of the guard rotation. He gives the Rockets another weapon in the fastbreak. Lawson wouldn't make a blackhole any worse than the 2 guards that stood next to Harden all the way to the WCF. Lin wasn't a great defender when we had him 2 years ago either. Lawsons on-court positives far outweigh his 1 (very)real negative. The Rockets are looking to retain TJ so the Rockets should have at least 3-4 players(Ariza, Beverley, Brewer) with average-good perimeter defense.

Now im not sure that the Rockets should move Jones for Lawson without a backup plan, but then I remember its Morey who's making all of the decisions so.... if he wants Lawson, i have to believe he has multiple plans along with backups, as usual.

I think The city of Houston would eat him alive.

Actually, one of the most prominent sober coaches for athletes is based in Houston. He is usually called to help with high profile athletes being an ex-athlete himself (I met a few of them)

I can say his name because he is an open advocate about his struggles and the work he does so it isn't betraying his confidence but I won't just incase, but I'm sure it would be an easy search if you want to take the time

I had mandated meetings because of a stupid mistake I made my first year in college and I met the guy and talked basketball for a while and he would many times have athletes with him

Yeah Lawson and Harden would be a good fit. Harden needs the ball out of his hands and it would work well to put it in Lawson's.
