Mike James. I want him on this team. Deserves a spot. I hope Booker gets consistent minutes with us next year. No reason for Warren not to start. Hate how we still have PJ, but oh well.

I was surprised the box score analysts who don't watch games didn't point that out as concerning, not knowing he had a hamstring injury in the first quarter.
Didn't know he had an injury, thanks. Was it just a tight hammy?

Of course, someone has a bad game and blames an injury. Warren was getting looked at in the sideline, but players always do that when they're struggling. I play basketball and I'm sucking I'd be the first to admit it but that's just me.

Booker was excellent. He showed why despite being only 18, most people thought he's one of the most NBA ready players of the draft.

This seems random, what does this have to do with rest of that tweet lol.

bhawk wrote:My new man crush / favorite Sun is, without question - Booker. The dude is two years younger than Goodwin and already has better 1) shot 2) instincts 3) handles / ball control 4) leadership 5) BBIQ 6) defense 7) personality. One other noticeable difference between the two players is how they carry themselves on the court. Booker looks like he is having fun and competing. He is talking and making suggestions. He encourages teammates and even smiles. Basketball comes natural to Booker.
Archie looks like he is pushing all the time, like the game doesn't come natural. He only dribbles one way. He looks mean and unhappy. Maybe the weight of expectations have taken their toll? Maybe the Morries soured the guy? I don't know what it is, but he needs to chill and change it up. How are his handles this bad after two years? Whatever he is doing, he needs to try something different because it isn't working. I'll be the first to cheer for the guy if he does figure things out. He is still very young... So there is that...
Just blown away between the difference that 16 or so draft spots make. 13 vs 29? Anyway, I'm pleasantly surprised by Booker. Dude will be a star in time and it will be fun to watch him develop.
@AlvinAdams - Do they measure hang time? Because that is a great observation about Booker. He not only releases high, but he when he jumps he hangs forever.
Len had a bad game and was outplayed and even out hustled by Portis. Why don't we try to trade for him instead of Taj Gibson?
...and he follows it up with 31 pts. Great game. Great leadership. Add working the referees to his list of skills.

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Really? Sounds like you are baiting people with this comment. Isn't that frowned upon here? Maybe a Nixon moment?

Re: Summer League Fun
Yeah I don't think many saw all the peripheral stuff Booker has outside his shot. We drafted him as a good shooter who supposedly lacks a lot stuff outside that, but he's really proving he's a good basketball player. Moves well off the ball, really good footwork into his shot. And best of all, he doesn't look phased with ball in hand. Had a couple of real sloppy turnovers but he's a kid and they're expected.

Booker is a baller!! TJ looked hurt from the beginning of the game. We have a ton of options at the wing.

Booker is looking like an absolute Gem. I hope he gets some burn next year, plays way beyond his years.

Re: Summer League Fun
I like Booker. He had an excellent game. However, I find it curious that Booker garners so much admiration for his shooting when he hasn't shot that well, with an overall field goal percentage of 41% (granted he is averaging 37% from 3). What I find especially interesting is while I'm watching, I'm seeing Archie Goodwin hit jumpers consistently, an ability that seemed so distant but a year ago, and yet I don't see much talk about it. Statistically, he is shooting 46% overall and 33% from 3, and while not fantastic numbers, they are certainly serviceable. My question is has Archie actually developed a decent jumpshot from that horrifying thing he called a shot when he first came into the league?

Because a lot people around these parts have already written him off. That or think he has to prove something this season or he's a bust. Both are ridiculous. However, there are a few of us who really like Archie, and noted his improved game, despite still having flaws. I really like him and think he's going to be a very good player.

Re: Summer League Fun
Booker was outstanding. He seems more Beal than Klay, which is no slight as Beal's going to be a stud very soon.
I want Harrellson and James on this team. James still has upside and he's a serious athlete with defensive potential.

Re: Summer League Fun
It's funny, I was really wanted us to draft Booker at the draft because I was so impressed and in love with his shooting form and yet, every time I see him play, I'm still more and more impressed by it.
It's one of those shooting strokes that people will eventually come to try and imitate when playing at the rec center or the park. Miss or make, his stroke remains the same and it's absolutely beautiful.
He's also very unselfish and makes the right play most of the time on the ball whether it's passing or scoring.
If this kid can get stronger, stay healthy and continue to work hard and add bits to his game every season, he will be worth more than anyone else on this roster. I hope I'm not jinxing him, the last player I was so excited about that we drafted was Goodwin and he's still having a hard time finding playing time.
Wish ya all the best Mr. Booker. The kind of shooting form this kid has isn't something you see in the draft every year.

I remember him coming up limping at one point in the previous game (4th quarter maybe?) when he dropped 31. So... Idk... Maybe he really was hurt. Even if he wasn't hurt... He's been great every game up to this point.

I understand what you are saying, but in this case I don't think it's true.
At the first minute of the game I saw two or three things, details, about how Warren was playing that I realised were really strange, he wasn't being himself at all. He was struggling BEFORE he was playing a bad game, that was obvious to me.
