I thought the Zards might sign Famous. He's a big body who rebounds and would give the Zards a potential backup at center, especially if Nene is hurt and not available. However, I wasn't impressed by Famous' shot blocking given his size.

I actually think the kid Shawn Jones from Middle Tenn. St., who also played on the Zards SL team, might be a better prospect than Famous.

I also hope that we don't have to hear you say this same stuff about Oubre vs. Portis/Looney ad nauseam...or at least wait until we actually see how they turn out as NBA players, which is probably 2-3 years down the road.

Cousins or Wall? I still take Cousins, 5 years later. :D

Don't let me steal your joy. I'm going to post negative stuff, and say a lot of the same things over and over. I have real issues. Deep seeded issues. Fortunately, I know my opinions on Realgm are just that and have no bearing and CERTAINLY won't pay me any money.

I reached a new level of disdain in seeing Grunfeld trade away 2nd round picks. He's crass and IMO he SUCKS as a GM. That's why I have posted what I post.

DCZ, I can always count on you to be a contrarian; but I defy you to PROVE I'm wrong. :)

If I posted on Cousins vs Wall on a neutral poll, how do you think the vote would go?

(I like Oubre now, DCZ. Just something to stir the pot a little bit.)

Does Otto not have any ability to play the 4? With the league getting smaller- I'd think Wall/Beal/Oubre/Porter would be a nice 1-4.

He has the skills, but last season he played at maybe 205 - with bricks in each pocket. I think he needs to gain 20 lbs before he can log significant minutes there - and I'm not sure that's realistic.

One last summer league note.

The NBA Summer League is GREAT! I got to see a few games b/c I was in Vegas on a work assignment, but a couple of buddies and I are going to go next year (on leave) so I have time to catch the daily quadruple headers running simultaneously at the Thomas and Mack Center and across the hall at the Cox Center (one ticket get you into everything).

If you have the availability and opportunity to hit Summer League, I'd strongly recommend it If you're any kind of NBA basketball fan, you'll really enjoy it.

And if you go next summer, you're welcome to meet up with me and my buddies.

I think he can get up to 220 in 2-3 seasons. I know a lot of people bring up Covington as a S4...but last I checked the guy is 210.. albeit an inch shorter I believe, so perhaps he is more stout.

It also more about lower body strength I believe with Otto. I believe he has sufficient upper body strength (if Bench press can be any bit of an indication of that), but his legs are still twigs. Needs to amend that.

Kind of amusing, you had brought up Webster as a S4 in the other thread I believe...which I agree is a possibility at 230 and a 8'10 standing reach....which I find kind of comical because those are the same numbers on Cody Zeller
Sadly Zeller prolly has more lateral movement at this point then Webster. :nonono: :noway:
