You guys dominated the draft

Post#1 » by BRIGGS » Thu Jul 9, 2015 1:54 am

I said it on draft night that you guys won--but after watching SL--at this point its a blowout. You mightve got the best overall player and man was I impressed with Young today. Hes jet quick with a beautiful stroke--AND hes a willing passer. He might be the steal of the draft as well as Turner who played in a system that was not suited for him at Texas.

Yeah but those skills are going nowhere. Myles Turner can shoot from all range he can rebound he can block shots and hes much more athletic than he showed at school--thats going no where its a translating skill.

Also Young is quick as heck he s got great form on his shot hes strong for his size and showed he can easily create separation with his athletic ability. Also skills that translate. I like that he was a willing passer in both games. Im sure Larry Bird was doing cartwheels when Turner fell to 11.

I won't argue, things are looking pretty good as of now. Finally nice to have some young prospects on the roster to be excited about again, it's been a few years (2010 draft with PG13 and Born Ready). And definitely agree, most of the skills Turner has showed so far are easily transferable to the real deal come November. Great stroke and good timing when jumping to block shots. The only thing I worry about is his presence on the defensive glass against bigger and more experienced competition. And right now Young looks like he could provide some solid minutes in a pinch, maybe 8 minutes a game?

Myles fouled 8 times in his second SL game. And his supposed bad running form will be more exposed when the game speeds up, if at all. That being said, he's still flying under the radar and I like that. Same with Young.

Turner did have one block where he went up and over the square on the backboard. That was pretty sweet.

That's totally it! And it didn't like he worked to get up there! Even my wife was excited to watch that and she couldn't give an expletive!

So, Myles Turner has been the most efficient scorer of all the lotto picks this summer, thus far. Just saying.

Born to late to explore the Earth.
Born to soon to explore the stars.
Born just in time to see Myles Turner play basketball.

I have a feeling he is going to be a considerable part of the rotation straight away, so we will get to see how good he really is quite early on. He is only 19 though, so he needs time and needs to be protected, but that is one thing I have faith in with Vogel.
Vogel is Dutch for Bird.
