CJ Watson - Quiet Storm Foundation in Orlando

Post#1 » by cmor42180 » Mon Jul 20, 2015 8:53 pm

I just got back from vegas working at CJ Watsons foundation camp they run each year in vegas and they usually try to do some stuff in the city where he is playing as well, I know indy wasnt the best place for them with the foundation events but they are going to be looking to do some stuff in Orlando and since Im only down there from time to time and dont know much outside of the tourist areas I wanted to ask everyone on here for any suggestions/recommendations for the foundation. C.J.s mom puts together most of it and she does a ton of work so Im trying to help her out so she doesnt have to go into things blindly. If you want to check out his foundation its quietstormfoundation.com, they do events for kids and they do a lot of great stuff.

I have mentioned doing some smaller type fundraiser things at nba city since i know they like having players there but again thats in the tourist area and the foundation is more about the local youth.

please hit me up with any suggestions/recommendations and Ill get the info over to her asap

and I finished updating his site to be Orlando now for anyone wanting to check it out, also if anyone wants to rewrite his bio please let me know, its long overdue and im no writer, i just make things look better by photo or design. cj-watson.com and facebook.com/officialcjwatson

NBA City at City Walk is closing down for good in August.
NBA Experience opens at Disney Springs in 2016.

I unfortunately do not live in the Orlando area, but if you still need someone to rewrite his bio, I could write a new version and send it to you.

Pine Hills/Parramore/Oak Ridge/Tangelo Park if you REALLY want to make a difference in Orlando.

Depends on what goes on at these events. I know the magic organization has had events at cranes roost park in Altamonte which is 15 minutes away from the arena..
I live rent free in your head. You know who you are :D

Not changing this sig until Magic win a championship. Started 6/26/2015.

Was just going to post this. If you want more info for Oak Ridge, Tangelo, and Pine Hills, hit me up. I've lived in all of these areas, and I know the kids would really benefit.

This.

because i dont live there i really dont know what this means, could you give me more info on it? keep in mind his foundation is youth based and tried to help underprivileged kids better themselves through education/life goals so if you are talking about rebuilding an area or something thats not what the foundation does, if you are mentioning that area needs something for the kids then i can let them know, please let me know and i will get the information over to them.

im sure as events get planned they would be looking for good volunteers so if anyone is interested check out the foundations site for upcoming info and ill try to post things on here as i know anything more.

if you want to rewrite it please feel free, we were going to use the nba.com bio to start and modify that as needed but if you want to do something please do and send it over, its not a paid project or anything but i could send you some of the leftover pacers stuff (i know, who wants pacers stuff lol) but i do have some signed 8x10s and i have some signed cards as well, i need to wait for the season to start so i can get more pics of him playing in a magic uniform so i can make up some new designs, we did just shoot some pics of him wearing the magic jersey but its not in game or anything so its only posed, they are on his facebook profile pic/timeline design right now until i edit more of what we shot
