Looking forward to see Jamaal Murray play. Doubt he'll be available for Olympic qualifiers in September but getting him under the system now will be important for future summers to come.

So Canada opens against the Dominican at 3:00 Pacific. Anyone know if CBC is going to be showing the game?

Looks like Brazil was led by Hettsheimeir and Benite. Those guys have been fringe members of their national team in the past - e.g., made the 2013 team that had no NBA guys - but have never made their team for World Championships or Olympics.

Hettsheimeir is bigger than any of our guys (except Bhullar).

(From rosters I see that US has a fairly big team - Hollins, Tarczewski, and Randolph are each at or near 7 feet.)

In other news, I see that Shepherd signed with Varese, of Italy's top league. I believe he spent last season in Italy's second tier league.

Rautins was with Varese this past season. Not sure if Shepherd will be joining him or replacing him.

Wow. The rosters that had been listed on the Toronto2015 website had been way off up until yesterday, so it was tough to see who each country was bringing. Looks like Puerto Rico really only has Barea and Ayuso of that group of stars that have been with them for years (missing Balkman, Santiago, Arroyo). They aren't going to win too many games, though, with those two going a combined 3-18.

Just taking a quick look at the Pan Am rosters, it looks like Canada has the youngest team there. Broken down by number of players on each team that are 25 and under (admittedly an arbitrary way to define "youth") it looks like this:

Canada - 10
Argentina - 8
USA - 8
Dominican Republic - 6
Brazil - 5
Puerto Rico - 5
Mexico - 3
Venezuela - 2

Mexico beat Argentina in OT in the second game.

Argentina has five guys on the roster who played on their team in the World Championships in 2014.

They have really short time slots, so I don't think they are showing any hoops at all, certainly not any full games.

Looks like cbc.ca is the only option.

Unless in US, its on ESPN 3 according to this Kentucky blog

http://www.aseaofblue.com/2015/7/20/9006601/how-to-watch-jamal-murray-canada-pan-american-games

Kentucky basketball freshman Jamal Murray was named to the Canadian roster for the 2015 Pan American Games, and you can watch him in action this week.

The Pan American Games take place July 21-25, and Team Canada will debut their 12-man team on Tuesday against the Dominican Republic at 6 pm ET, which can be streamed on ESPN 3. That will be the first of at least three times UK fans' can see Murray, along with former Wildcat Kyle Wiltjer, in action this week.

On Wednesday, the Canadians will take on Argentina at 6 pm ET, and it too can be streamed on ESPN 3. Thursday will see Canada face Mexico on ESPN 3 once more.

Don't have ESPN 3? Fear not. All of the men's basketball contests for the Pan Am Games will be streamed on CBCSports.ca starting July 21. Some of the games will be shown on the ESPN networks.

Doornekamp eh? I always wondered if he has compromising photos of the entire Team Canada staff.

No access to the game for me so qualitative updates are appreciated (not the score, but what you are seeing, who looks good/bad etc.).
