Hibbert lost 15-20 lbs? Did I hear that right on the radio?

Lakers can't win with Kobe. When he's involved with Free Agents, it's all wrong, and he supposedly turns them off... When he isn't involved, he doesn't like them and turns everyone off...

Time to admit Kobe really isn't that big a factor in their decision making at this point, one way or the other.

You're not a hater. The tone throughout this thread from even before we knew the Lakers were even looking at Hibbert was very lukewarm.

I think any enthusiasm on our parts has to do with the fact he's a reasonable upgrade at center from what we were rolling out for the past few years and maybe some optimism about him changing scenery.

No it's more like Kobe can't win, everything he says or action is over blown, over exaggerated.....it's media trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill. I don't think Kobe has factored into anything since like 2011 or 12....pretty damn sure about that.

Hell maybe Kobe doesn't even have their numbers yet, then if he did text, call or made any contact the media would've been all nosy...asking these guys what did he say ?

Can you imagine the blow back had Kobe not responded to Larry Nance Jr ? They would've bugged Nance all summer asking has he heard from Kobe yet.

Maybe because you were spun by the narrative that he wasn't the flashy offensive force like the media thinks all centers should be ?

I've watched Roy since he was at Georgetown, I knew watching then he wouldn't be super dominate on O, but you could always see flashed of the presence he could be on D. His offense has improved by leaps and bounds since his college days, at least he's more than serviceable than Hill and Sacre put together.

Listening at Roy I know he gets it, he's been receptive of listening to Kareem and it seems like he's ready to work.

Mitch has done a great job. Lakers are on track with their rebuilding. These are solid players, a definite upgrade from players they are replacing. Hibbert will have a big year, he has the talent to be an impact player in this league. Williams is just reaching his prime. Brandon will be very solid.

Lakers' rebuilding right on track, exciting season smoking up.

his rim protection is fine but I think he's gona struggle on PnR, especially with this team. Honeslty its not the offense that i'm not impressed with, but come on man the dudes 7 2- 7 3 ish and he's NEVER avg. double digit reb. and can't even muster enough stamina to play 30mpg. As far as the narrative, he's a former all-star, well it the east is all i can say....if he was in the west during those times he wouldn't even be an after thought, he'd be more in the range of the Robin Lopez, Gortat (pho) tier C's.
