If you're impressed by that you should honestly read some poetry. I think your mind would explode.

Drake sucks so bad haha. I'm a proud Canadian but we three Artists who have single handedly killed 3 different music genres Bieber, Drake and Nickelback.

Bieber's the worst out of the 3, but exactly what genre did he kill? Bubblegum pop music? That's unkillable. You just have to look at the list of the big pop acts that have came and went. The machine will just keep churning and rolling out new acts.

Never met a Drake song I liked. At least some Nickelback singles are catchy

Actually I don't listen to Drake but he's doing his thing and will attract top F/As to Toronto. Obviously you don't know how big Drake is...

The reason guys like them ruin Genres is because they inspire young artists. Thanks to those three we will likely have to listen to wannabes like them for the next 10 years + until it's replaced with someone probably worse. All three of those artists (yes I know nickelback is a group) have drastically lowered the bar in each of those genres, Michael Jackson was actually good and I don't even like pop but I recognize the talent.

He's good for Toronto because he is popular but his music is terrible there is no question about it. You put him up against past rappers like Wutang, Big L, Tupac, Nas, etc you instantly will realize how bad his lyrics are.

By 'top free agents' Drake can attract, you mean guys like Aldridge and Gasol, right? ;)

It's hard to think of players that get off to bad career starts and then become stars on the spot, especially a high pick, so I decided to have a quick look at a random year from a few years ago (I picked 1997)... right away I saw a perfect example...Chauncey Billups. It does happen on a fairly regular basis I think.

Another poor example. Billups wasn't great early on, but he was no where near as bad as AB.

He was much worse...The raps waived him after a couple days.

The Raptors actually traded him...for the 5th pick in the draft.

And in his second season Billups posted an above average PER.

Peak Dr. Positivity.

Another story that my buddy told me last year during training camp.

I don't know if anyone here works with CB and maybe Hassassin might know this, but at the start of every training camp the players and staff gets a ton of free Nike gear with the Canada Basketball logo on it and most of the time they just end up "donating" the stuff to interns and volunteers at camp. From what I've heard TT is one of the nicest guys when it comes to hooking up people with stuff and he apparently gave someone a Nike CB luggage that retails for something like $500 without the logo on it in stores so the luggage TT gave away was a team exclusive. Anyways, Nicholson found out this one dude wanted a backpack/luggage and tried to hustle him selling it for $200 and dude was hesitant at first but ultimately bought it off of him. The thing is, gear apparently always finds its way to you if you work there and the guy could've had it for free if he was patient. Next thing Nicholson gives someone a Nike elite backpack for free with the dude who just bought that off of him standing. Pretty much a troll move by Nicholson lol.

after watching Nicholson in the Pan am games I think I finally understand why he doesn't get time...because He's got anger issues and probably has told a few people off because of it.

18 minutes last game to 6 minutes of highlights this game.... damn lol. And I even inflated it for the feel good moments in the "almost, but not quite" comeback in the 4th :D

A good run, but Brazil proved to be too strong indeed. Commends to their whole team. They are a well oiled machine. Loved watching their offensive efficiency, just stunned the Canadian squad. Great to watch.

Good competition by both squads, fun to watch :)

Done and done....... GG, Brazil made it look easy.

Maybe in games, but everyone I know that works at CB tells me he's actually very calm off the court. I've heard Olynyk and English (refer back to one of the incident with Nash lol) are dicks. I'll share the story with Olynyk some other time.

My bad I was just going by memory and I guess it's because we didn't get a player that played back right away that I forgot but he stunk with Toronto. He started and only went 11 3 3 and shot .349 (YIKES) from the field. How is that not worse than Bennett. He was older and more experienced than Bennett and didn't have to deal with injury and conditioning issues either and was a year older than Bennett. He stunk!

Bennett needs to get crafty. He's got some smooth moves but he's not going to out athletic/over power NBA players.

Sucks but was a positive tournament for lots of our guys. Hopegully this thread will now go back to being a little safe haven from the raptors gm-ishness of most of the forum that it has been

Is it some other time yet? I'd LOVE to hear the Olynyk story.
