Don't think too much man, look at the lineups we had out there at the end of the season and you would take any basket you could get from anyone as well. It was almost impossible to run a proper offense when you are playing many young/DLeague level players as part of your rotation.

Yeah... Him and Beas I can see will be back up plans after cutting them, which we did

We are just clearing roster space for flexibility so far

I think its because we were desperate, and Walker wasnt shy to shoot

Many of our d leaguers, rookies were too scared to shoot... Even Deng was hesitant. Next season Green will get the... Green light lol

Walker shot 40% from 3 in d league, and I guess they thought it would translate to the NBA. I really dont know if that eye injury he got had anything to do with it, he was shooting well until that happened

Also we made him play PF... Dude is an SF-SG. Maybe he gets a camp invite after being cut, its possible Heat give him another proper shot. Personally I say nah, we have many guys his size already...

In memory of Henry Walker a post I wrote up about him last year on the Raptors board. You will be missed.

Hey guys! qjz123 here professional GT maker for the Miami Heat. I thought I'd tell you all about one of our new acquisitions. Henry walker formally known as Bill Walker although I refer to him as the man of many names, I'll tell you why in just a bit. Henry(Bill at the time) attended college with current Miami Heat superstar "Super cool Beas" They both entered the 2008 draft, Beasley was chosen 2nd and Walker was chosen 47th overall. Henry played in the league for 5 seasons. 2 with the Celtics and 3 with the Knicks.

Henry was a big fan of the movie He Got Game which stared Ray Allen. The thought of acting for a living had always been a dream of his but it had always been so far out there. That is until he met world renowned director/producer Spike Lee, the two of them got to talking and Spike referred Henry to one of his friends at TNT. He was a producer there and he was willing to give Henry an addition. Henry had missed a large chunk of the season due to injury. He was still under contract until the end of the year but he choose to void the remainder of it. He told the knicks that his injuries were too severe and that he would never be able to play basketball again. The knicks agreed to it because in the end it saved them money and Henry wasn't exactly an essential player.

Thus began Henry's post NBA journey. Henry booked a flight to Atlanta the same day that he had voided the remainder of his contract. He was determined to make something of himself in the acting world. He arrived at TNT studios and asked for the man that Spike Lee had spoken too. This was a surprise visit on Henry's part. He hadn't cleared it with anyone for fear of rejection. Suffice to say things didn't go to smoothly. The producer told him that they wouldn't be taking any additions for their original content until the summer. The bad news hurt Henry but he refused to give up. He decided that if he couldn't get an acting job from the producer at TNT he would simply go elsewhere. Lucky for him a lot of TV shows film in Atlanta because of tax breaks, it's practically the Hollywood of the east coast.

Henry spent the next 3 months going from addition to addition until one day he finally landed a role for a hit TV show. If you guessed which one it was then give yourself a high five.

The show that he finally got a role on was none other than the walking dead.

Spoiler:
If you're a fan of the Walking dead you probably saw his Character Tyreese killed off in season 5.
That was filmed over a year ago.
Spoiler:
Once the decision to kill his character off was made Henry was at a cross roads.
He could either learn from this experience and further pursue his acting career or he could cherish this once in a lifetime opportunity that AMC gave him and move on from it all. He choose that latter if you were wondering. So once filming was done he said his goodbyes and he moved to North Dakota where the Miami Heat D League affiliate the Sioux Falls Skyforce were located. It took him a little while to get back into basketball shape but once he did he got called up to the NBA to play for the Injury riddled Heat and the rest is history.

Thank you for reading this long post I just wanted to shed some light on a very interesting story that so few talk about.

Dru Smith very lucky he got that 500k this year. He should invest and manage a subway after all this-MettaWorldPanda

Am i the only one who thought he looks nothing like dude from TWD?

Man, Heat were so bad last season that we signed and extended this chucker. I hope we will not be this bad again for some time.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Nice. All we need now is for Rio to kick rocks and we will have a relatively scrub-free lineup next season.
