Do you agree that Kobe was chucking under 40% from the field and under 30% from 3 all season and taking petty shots at Lin to cover for his pathetic on court displays? This was while Lin was putting up 50/40/90 and quietly saving the Lakers from blow out after blowout. Kobe was playing for MJ's record and nothing else and he saw that Lin was playing for the team and for team victories as opposed to personal records. Kobe then felt jealous of Lin putting up points efficiently and becoming the face of the franchise and went on to call Lin "soft", call Lin a "coward" and a "p****" amongst other disparaging things. Lin even asked to take the last shot of a game and rightly so because chances Lin scores were much higher than chances the inefficient chukcing Kobe scores. This pissed off Kobe even more and hurt his fake ego. Eventually he asked his son Byron Scott to replace Lin with Price who is a career scrub. Lin was not only outshining Kobe but he is much better player than Price and CLarkson put together. Kobe's jealousy and selfishness ruined Lin last season.

Kobe is not jealous of Lin. If you had watched "linsanity documentary", you would know Kobe actually HATEs Lin. After Lin dropped 38 points on Kobe's Lakers, he said he almost replied the media's question (do you think Kobe should know you by now) with "Kobe who?". Since then, the only chance Kobe could beat Lin is when Lin was his teammate.

Oh yeah it could be this too. Kobe probably never liked Lin to begin with and then Lin dropping 38 on the washed up Kobe probably put Kobe off further. Point is Kobe was definitely trying to marginalize LIn for whatever reason - be it hate or jealousy all while chucking up 30 shots a game for 37% from the field and 28% from 3 point land while Lin was efficiently putting up 50/40/90

I'd also recommend that the Mods check IP's to be sure it's not just one guy talking to himself trying to stir up trouble and troll the boards. The mods on LG found a troll doing exactly that with 2 accounts pretending to be Lin fans and arguing with each other just to get everyone angry at Lin fans and troll the board. Lin attracts some really crazy haters who go to huge lengths to troll.

How about you guys not worry about what the mods need to do or not do. If you have a problem with a post or a poster, then ignore the post or ignore the poster. If you see someone breaking the rules, flag the post and it will be reviewed.

As for the talk about Lin and Kobe, perhaps that discussion would be better suited for the Lakers board as it has little relevance to Lin currently as well as the Hornets.

My sense is that Clifford has run the offense in a conservative way in the past. Playing slower, and stressing low turnovers, and rebounding, at a cost maybe to a lot of fast breaks and passing. The defense sounds like has been quite good.

What do Hornets fans make of Clifford's conversation with Lin, as well as all the acquisitions this offseason. Is expecting faster, more pnr oriented play realistic?

Also, I have a lot of questions about the FRONT court. What happens with Biyombo gone? Is Cody Zeller good enough to play back up center?

Has there ever been a lineup where MKG plays PF, and has that been effective?

How has Clifford traditionally treated rookies? Will Kaminsky get playing time?

Next, Lin was traded to the Lakers. It all started off the same way with Mitch Kupchak saying he has been after Lin for 3 years and Byron Scott claiming to be a huge J Lin fan.

Once the season started, Lin was who he is. An efficient point guard putting up 50-40-90 percentages while Kobe was putting up under 30%. This got Kobe jealous of Lin and also that Lin was the main guy on the team and the same marginalization started. Kobe along with BScott who is just a Kobe worshipper began the process to eliminate and reduce Lin because he was outshining Kobe and producing well to the point people were questioning if this is Lin's team and he should take the last shot. They benched Lin for a career scrub Ronnie Price who Scott labeled head of the snake while Kobe went on to call Lin a coward, a p***y as well as other heinous names. The marginalization did not stop there. Lakers commentators Stu Lantz got in as well exaggerating every Lin turnover and missed shot while giving no credit to his play. Meanwhile the agenda was on full pace to do whatever it takes to get Kobe to beat MJ in scoring.

Things got worse from there. Once Price got injured, inferior rookie Clarkson was promoted to start ahead of the superior Lin. SO now was Lin not only backing up Price but also Clarkson. he would get 1 minute at the end fo each quarter and when he was hot, Scott used to yank him out.

I can go on and on but I am finally happy that Lin has chosen Hornets and Bobcats seem receptive of him.

I'd be disappointed if Lin doesn't usurp Kemba for the starting spot after 10 or so games. It is clear that Lin is the superior player.

This is the kind of stuff that's going to make your time here less enjoyable for everyone involved.

Just plan on being disappointed, because Lin isn't starting after ten games. Lin and Cliff both have already said that.

Saying and doing are different things. Rockets promised Lin as the face of the franchise and then went on brought Harden and a guy from Russia to replace Lin. Scott called himself a huge fan of Lin and then went on to replace a top 10 PG in Lin with a career scrub like Price and a rookie.

I will be surprised if Lin doesn't outplay Kemba especially considering Kemba's historic pathetic shooting from the field and 3 point land. That will put pressure on Kemba and the Lin fans will push for Lin to start on merit. Cho and Cliff will hear our voices and a decision will have to be made. Hoping it's the right one and that is the better player in Lin starting.

Not a guarantee but just saying that what coaches say is not necessarily what they will do, just going by history. hoep you understand my position yosemite.

Which history? The history of you editing Lin's 2k15 stats to 99s across the board? Lin is nowhere close to a top 10 point guard.

I'm not going to stop you from saying that Lin is a better player, you're entitled to your own opinion, but if you're calling for Lin to start over the established starting PG that this franchise has invested a lot in, and that Lin's fans should be "mad" if he isn't starting by the 10th game of the year, prepare to get ridiculed.

The new Lin posters haven't met "Game Thread" Pooty yet. That's gonna be a blast.

This season has a strong chance of dividing this board up tremendously with Lin, Lamb, how the Batum trade goes, how Kemba plays in his first year of a new contract, etc etc etc. A lot of people on different sides of these and unless it goes really really well or really really bad there will be a lot of divide.

There are a couple of over the top posters but please don't lump us all into this "Lin crowd". I doubt that many of us are clamoring for Lin to take over the starting job after 10 games, most of us just want to see him do better than he did the past few years and for the Hornets to become a better team as well.
