i wouldnt say subpar but there is no creativity in the middle of the pitch, which is crucial in modern football.

Offensively:

Argentina as Di Maria, Pastore, Aguero, Lavezzi, Higuain.

Portugal second best player offensively is Nani behind Ronaldo.

I was responding to Lakers who said that Argentina has no excuse to be subpar. I don't think you could say that and hold that against Messi.

Switz - beat them in seconds before PK thanks to Di Maria

Netherlands - PKs
Germany - 2nd real threat on their run, they lost a tight one....

Their road was not a challenge til the very end.

switz, belgium, netherlands, germany is as good as it gets in a wc run, not sure how many teams had a tougher run than that since they expanded the field. and he would've won it all if higuain was a even an average striker.

Belgium is an overrated national team that was an inch from losing to USA in the world cup.

Holland was led by robben's brilliance. Now, since robben been gone via injury, have you seen Holland play since than. Absolutely dreadful holland is.

None of those teams are better than chile, colombia, brazil. france and germany.

holland is definitely better than brazil and chile, that is proven. i would take em against colombia too. belgium wasnt inches away from losing to usa, they were howard's god like performance away from winning that game 8-0. belgium, holland, germany all top ten nations in the world, swiss isnt that far back.

Argentina should be challenging as a top team in the world.

Right now, outside of that FIFA BS rankings, top teams are germany, france, brazil and NEW SPAIN.

They were in extra time of the final of the WC. If that doesn't put them as a top team, I don't know what. And they are clearly ahead of Brazil and France.

Holland is terrible. Guus hiddink got sacked in less than a year because of how average that squad is.

Belgium shot every goal at howard. How was howard at everton this season btw? Complete ****? Got overrated by that game.
Wondolowski was an inch away from eliminated belgium.

yeah if dybala was couple years older and was playing instead of higuain, there wouldnt be any discussion about the best team in the world.

France is the second best team in the world cup imo. They just got unlucky facing germany so early in the knockout stages.

Their a reason why france are favorites for euro 2016.

guus hiddink took over after world cup, that was an elite team under van gaal that made it to last four of two world cups. and belgium dominated that game no matter how you slice it.

Elite team under LVG? Robben was elite and beat mexico on a robben dive. after the world cup, robben has been rarely featured since injuries, which is why holland is an average side.

belgium dominated no one in the world cup. Even in the group stages, every single game went down to the last 10 mins... belgium is like england. a team of big names, that suck collectively.

i have no idea what you are arguing about, trying to say chile and brazil were better teams than holland when holland beat them in very same world cup? do you take the short bus to school or something?

third place game really matters right?

Also, vs chile

Both chile and holland already qualified prior to the game. Vidal didn't play as well

what new spain are you talking bout?
We are playing awfull, losing games we shouldnt lose and teh future loos dreadfull there are no real players that look any close to be able to replace Casillas, Puyol, Xavi, Iniesta, Villa, Torres just a bunch of mediocre young talent that signs too soon for REal and Barcelona and thus dont get any burn and go stagnant.

we may not even qualify for world cup, italy is going to kick our butts and then if we are not lucky with the playoff draw we may end up out of the final tournament.

Expect a 1/8 or 1/4 exit in next years eurocup.
