Wowww, this escalated quickly.
Marcus knows exactly what his brother wants and what is thinking. Markieff is gonna demand a trade and if he is not traded he is gonna play without effort and making the minimum of the minimum on the court.

McDonough has some work to make before the start of the season.

Keef better get on his brother, none of this looks good for him. Their agent has to be a bit pissed that dirty Landry is being put out on social media. Our front office has said nothing bad. We did what any team has or would have done when a player yells at the coach on national TV. Dudes get shipped out.

All this time I kept saying it guys. GET THESE PLAYERS OFF THE TEAM. I told everyone they are nightmares with their attitudes and their play does not justify their off the court problems. People lambasted me over and over again telling me no way, Markieff has the greatest contract in the history of sports for his production, blah blah blah. You guys are seeing now exactly why I have been calling for them to be traded since last season.

Seriously if the Morris brothers were upright citizens that had positive attitudes and did whatever was asked of them, maybe you can put up with their inconsistent play and low iq as bench players for a while. But these guys are nuts. They destroyed the fanbase. Now Marcus is doing it AGAIN as a member of the Pistons. He is now tweeting Markieff will not be on the Suns for long. What more do you want to finally say let's trade Markieff and rid the organization of these losers.

Jeeze. The hot takes in this thread make me glad I took a break from the board for awhile.

Archie was in no way disparaging the Suns in that original tweet. I can't honestly believe people are reading something into Archie because he didn't publicly bash a former teammate on twitter and chose to be the bigger person and focus on his own determination and improvement.

And once again, people seem confused between Markieff and Marcus, or else are reading way too much into Markieff based on Marcus. Markieff may be moved, but you're kidding yourself if you think McDonough is going to move Markieff because of something Marcus Morris tweets. People who obviously have an issue with Kieff will read as much negativity into this as possible even though Kieff isn't even involved. Seriously, what do you expect? For him to publicly embarrass his brother on twitter?

Naive KeepKieffers think Mook is the evil Siamese twin attached at the hip preying upon his innocent bro who just wants to go separate ways. When in reality its a two-way street. A reciprocal symbiotic relationship of mutually agreed back scratching. Not a parasitic one.

This is actually sad what is happening with Marcus. The twitter war with Gambo and Suns fans is asinine. As classless as it gets.

Marcus :nonono:

I'm not going to read into what Markieff is thinking, but even if he does want to be a part of the Suns, it's gotta be tough for him to show his brother respect (or at least show him respect in Marcus' eyes). If he comes back and is genuinely excited to be a Sun, his brother would probably be a little pissed with him.

The season just needs to start though. Once it starts I think Marcus will still have a bit of a sour taste about the Suns, but he won't have as much time to think about it.

It really doesn't matter much what Kieff wants though, even if he doesn't want to be in Phx. We have his rights and unless he refuses to play or something, his trade value should only go up, especially once the legal stuff is behind him.

I hope he can get 100% past it, but it is likely to be bittersweet for him to some extent as long as he is in Phx.

Honestly, Suns fans and Gambo on twitter are not helping either, though I suppose most of these people want Kieff gone. When they talk crap to his brother, he's likely not going to be happy with the Suns fans. Obviously he already thinks we are too quiet in the arena...of course the only time we make noise is to talk crap to his bro on twitter.

Though I admit, some of it is funny...

Good, maybe sister marcus has let us know where Kiefs head is at. No more wondering is good, go ahead and force the pimp hand marcus. This tweet more than gives our front office a reason to reach out to Kief and question him as to his pissy little sisters DIRECT comments. Puts us in a posistion to demand an answer.

I think it's exactly the opposite. If a player that have a guaranteed contract for the next 4 years wants out you have to trade him as soon as possible, because his lack of effort and interest is gonna be unreal. He is gonna be paid no matter what.

No, there is little chance imo that he would not show effort. He has pride and you can't kill your long term value. These guys want to prove they are the best (most hard working guys in the nba want to prove themselves on the court). If he wants out, the best thing he can do is play hard to make teams offer something for him. He doesn't strike me as a guy who will walk through his contract, because if he continues growth, he is going to get a really fat contract next time (as will most all rotation guys).

Demanding a trade with 4 years on a contract is a career killer (unless you are a superstar), especially if you show lack of effort and/or sit out.

If he's being a prick in the locker room and he's locked up for 4 years, it doesn't matter. You can suspend him from the team indefinitely until he's ready to apologize and play hard. If he's a disease, you can play hardball and take steps to isolate him from your team until he is cured. He can sit out and watch players ink progressively larger contracts as the cap jumps and think "****, I'm going to swallow my pride and build my resume so I can get PAID in 2020" or he can continue to get paid in the short term and whittle away his chances at future $ by earning the rep as a pouty headcase.

I'm going to be really disappointed if they sell low, this front office is making a habit of it which is absolutely inexcusable for any team, ESPECIALLY a rebuilding team. Sold low on Goran. Failed to sell high on Gerald until his value gutterbombed and it dropped to nothing. Sold low on IT. Markieff probably shouldn't be in anyone's long term plans at this point, but the FO needs to at least come up with a damage control plan to make sure his value is high before they sell.

I'm a "Keefkeeper", but it's not like I have an undying love for Markieff Morris, I just don't want them to throw him away for less than his value. Trade Bledsoe, Len, Warren, Keef, whoever, in the grand scheme of things I don't care. Just make the team better, win your trades. Get max value. Do your job.
