+Johnson and Christon in the dleague or overseas I guess, unless you get to unload or stretch Novak and sign Dakari.
Semaj should sign in Europe, he could improve a ton during 2-3 with the right coaching and be a piece for the future.

Probably closer to this:

Westbrook-Augustin-Payne
???-???-??? (Roberson-Morrow-Waiters)
Durant-Singler-Huestis-(situational)Roberson-(situational)Morrow
Ibaka-Collison-McGary-Novak (situational)Durant
???-??? (Kanter-Adams) (situational)Ibaka

If they play well McGary and Payne could jump up a spot midseason or earlier. Unlikely we sign either Christon or Johnson this year. We have a decent track record with D-League assignments—I'm OK with Semaj staying. We have a SG prospect in Europe still (Abrines).

Novak is extremely unlikely to get stretched IMO. Presti values flexibility, and waiving a guy for nothing goes against everything we've seen him do.

he has Ibaka as a situational C when thats something that wont happen, Collison or McGary yep.
but sure, there are some uncertainities, since BillyD is new and all that about the rotations, but the 15 players seem clear.

Except Ibaka does play situational C. He's done it before, and likely will again, unless you're calling a lineup with Durant at 4 and Ibaka on the court Ibaka playing SF. And McGary certainly isn't a C, Collison likely not much at his age either.

It's funny, Roy actually grew up a few blocks from me. We played AAU together and then on separate teams in high school. I went to Bayside, he went to Cardozo (another high school in Bayside, Queens). Dude had the longest arms for a guard and a was terror defensively.

Kanter and Dion could make the difference this year on whether we are a championship team or an also ran. In saying that it may be that they make the positive differential or the negative one and at this stage not sure which. Dion has clearly committed himself to getting in shape over the summer and that could be a real boost to his game. Kanter has exciting offensive skills that could see okc hard to defend but both players have worrying flaws in their games. I am pretty hopeful this year so at this stage taking to positive view that these two will be big contributors this year

I'm certain Dion will be just as valuable this year as he has been the rest of his career. I'm still holding out hope that Kanter will start to give effort at all times and improve his defense to Al Jefferson bad instead of worst big in the league.

I can understand getting some enthusiasm for Dion getting in better shape. It reminds me of the optimism many of us had the Summer Perkins lost a bunch of weight. Then he came back and was ... still Perkins.

I can already hear people complaining and comparing him to Jeremy Lamb. His eyes look dead. He has no emotion. He's just going through the motions. blah, blah, blah

I stuck up for Lamb a bit, but I don't ever remember him going to a ton of offseason stuff, and he was clearly never embraced by teammates to Cam's extent. That speaks volumes to me, and I saw the complaints too. :noway:

I liked Lamb. He just never seemed to fit in. I don't know what the deal is/was with him. He seemed to have talent in his limited action. He either thought being a role player was below him from the start or he did something to upset the veterans. He was similar to Reggie in not being a cultural fit. Adams, McGary and Payne all seem to be really into the team and wanting to work and prove themselves. My only real concern right now, as far as fitting with the team, is Kanter.

Yep, though I admit he seemed happy on the court and off when he got to OKC last year, I wonder if he's the same when he's getting fewer touches.

I really wish OKC didn't trade Lamb and Jones. It really kills me on how we didn't give them more playing time.
