thought it was just a Cuban-Dodger thing.

You really can't be mad at yourself for getting out against Madison Bumgarner unless you're Babe Ruth?

Always good to sweep the Angels…especially since they've kicked our dick in the dirt over and over again in interleague play over the years.

not a bad weekend for the Dodgers.
breathing room + a good start by Latos.

Once again the going gets tough and the Nats are gagging under the pressure. With that said, we have over the last three years been an excellent August-September team. Hopefully a soft schedule over the next week coupled with the bats getting healthy and their timing/rhythm back will turn things around.

Guy on local radio made a good point today. Mets three young pitchers have never pitched this deep into a season before. They could wear down as we get into September. I'm not so sure, but I guess we'll see. Mets lineup is improved but I doubt they'll sustain this kind of production.

Nats on the other hand finally hit yesterday. Hopefully Zim and Werth can get it going. We can't keep throwing four guys out there with ~.220 BAs. Why Ian Desmond keeps getting to start is beyond me. He might be the worst SS in baseball and Danny Espinosa behind him has been quite good but never gets to play. Frustrating...

Luis Severino making his debut tonight. Best starting pitching prospect the Yanks have had since Phil Hughes.

If all goes well, he'll be the reason we trade CC and eat that contract just to have him not be part of the rotation.

spotted on another forum.

meanwhile, the Nats keep talking about the division as if it's theirs and losing to the damn diamondbacks at home.

So throwing hard gets you to the World Series but doesn't get you a ring? Nice.

Splitting the Diamondbacks at home is a big disappointment. We gotta sweep the Rockies this weekend. Can't wait to see my boy Stras return from injury. He had two dominant starts after his last DL stint(before going back). We need him to return to form because our all world hyped up P staff has been pretty average outside of Scherzer.

And speaking of Ps, apparently we're moving Fister to the bullpen and letting Joe Ross keep on starting. Good call. Ross has been outstanding and Fister has been terrible. Funny how going into the year everyone hyped up our staff and a rookie with no experience ends up being our 2nd best P. Gotta love baseball sometimes.
