6. Yordano Ventura on the mound, though his performance Sunday afternoon on Twitter was far more impressive than anything he did the day before with his right arm.

Some context: The Royals' reputation as a team that likes to scrap begins with Ventura, and after Kansas City pitchers hit a pair of batters and brushed back Donaldson with fastballs twice Sunday, Sanchez hit Alcides Escobar in the knee and was ejected. After the game, both sides popped off, which prompted Jose Bautista to say on Twitter he lost respect for Yost, which prompted Ventura to fire off three tweets he deleted soon thereafter.

In those tweets, according to two people who read and translated them, Ventura said to Bautista: "We'll meet again later and if you do that with me, you'll see what I'm about. I don't care about anybody. I used to respect you, but you're a nobody. … You got lucky this time, but MLB doesn't get canceled after this season. Keep running your mouth. … You need to stop giving signs. You're gonna get it from me for being fresh and you really are a nobody."

So, not only did Ventura call a six-time All-Star a nobody – twice – he accused the Blue Jays of tipping pitches to their teammates, which brought back memories of The Man In White. After Ventura wiped the tweets away, he tweeted: "I take responsibility for my words. I'm not scared." And that was that, classic Ventura, audacious and over the top, about as incapable of controlling his emotions as he is his 100-mph fastball, so full of potential but so far from fully grasping it.

Yep, Ventura running his mouth again at All-Stars.

I just can't believe word hasn't gotten around about Bautista in baseball and that is you do not PISS HIM OFF or he will
murder you. How many times have pitchers messed with him and then he rocks them? The more pissed off he gets the
better he plays.

Whether its opposing players, ESPN radio hosts, the local media, even some dolts in our fanbase please keep on
pissing off Bautista because he's at his absolute best when he's angry.

He should be called the Latino Hulk. Keep him Jose Bautista and not Joey Bats.

Still not sure WTF went on today -- between the Royals constantly throwing at Donaldson, the clown performance by Jim Wolf, and Ned Yost's moronic post-game comments.

Royals baseball happened. That involves throwing beanballs at opponents for no good reason and then playing the victim.

Sadly, The Royals are getting away with it. Aside from Toronto, the rest of the baseball world media seems to be thinking that the Royals did nothing wrong, and the Umpire was justified. Also the Blue Jays seem to have somehow started it by cheating.

Not really - ESPN analysts didn't agree with KC. KC are bullies, I can see why people are afraid to "challenge" the way they play baseball. Also, the Jays batters do dive into the plate to get more coverage but the Jays are not upset about that it's about the head hunting part of it and inequality of the calls.

From ESPN: "He can't take it," Volquez said of Donaldson. "I don't know why. He hit a lot of homers in the first couple of games and he was pimping everything he does. Somebody hits you, you've got to take it, because you're pimping everything you do."

Sounds like it was intentional to me.

The thing that bothers me about KC is that they are the bullies but then turn around and play the victim as though they aren't doing anything. I actually like their confidence and got not problem with a little bullying or hitting Donaldson in the first, throwing at his head twice after is pushing it though and then acting like they did nothing or saying what Yost did, what Volquez said and what Ventura tweeted is what gets on peoples nerves.

Also, watching Volquez act all tough running around the outside of the fray is what makes him look like a chump. I bet he'd get knocked out and cry like a baby stepping up to any of the guys he 'pretends' to challenge.

Too bad about today. Cant win them all just need to win most. I have faith.

I managed to scoop up 2 tickets to watch Prices debut on Monday but its been a few years since I've made it down to Rogers had a couple questions if you guys dont mind.

1) Can I enter through any gate with my ticket? Are some faster then others?
2) We plan on parking at Yorkdale mall and were wondering if Yorkdale interior is open late to walk through even after the mall is closed. Were used to parking and taking the subway and then on the way back walking through the mall. We wanted to spend some extra time in toronto but the mall will be closed by the time we come back and were wondering if its still accecible to walk through so we dont have to walk around.

You can park at any lot in Yorkdale, but on Monday with the stat holiday, you shouldn't be able to walk through the mall. However, if you park in the lot by the theatre it's only a short walk outside to get to the TTC station. Alternatively, you can park at the end of Regina Ave and walk 2 minutes through Baycrest park to get to the station. I often found that easier to manage.

Yup listen to the advice here. Used to live on Regina Ave as a kid and the station is right next to it. That's your best bet.
