It's really inevitable that melo gets traded. I said from day one he won't finish this contract out here. He got his money. He got his no trade so he has final say in where he goes. We got to keep a valuable trade chip. Get to rehab and showcase him. It was best for both sides.

Yup. I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty psyched about what he would get for him in a trade. as much as I'd like to keep him, I'd rather move him sooner than later to get the most value in return while he's still in his prime.
Why are you anticipating a large haul? Melo will drastically limit the market with his NTC. Basically big market contenders.
Now, even if those teams are interested in acquiring him, what contenders have young talent and worthwhile picks to give up in a trade? Or expirings to provide cap relief? And if they have those things, could they give them up for Melo and still be contenders?
In Phil I Trust. He won't move him without getting proper compensation. Just because Melo waives his NTC for a certain team he wants to go to doesn't mean we have to comply and bend over backwards. Melo will have to convince said team to make a deal.
