I can't remember one in recent history.

Who in recent history has said bad things to say about the Suns upon or after exiting? I can't think of any, most players that end up leaving usually thank the organization, sometimes with the ordinary feeling of disrespect but still appreciation for the franchise.

The only other player that I can think of is Jason Kidd giving the one finger victory salute to fans. Much like Marcus, he was traded after reports of violent behavior.

Well, Dragic left on bad terms and trashed the organization but Gambo never called him out. Gambo really laid into Marcus.

Given that the "insiders" likely know more then they can disclose to keep the trust of players/coaches/executives, it really seems like Marcus was a big problem and Gambo could not or would not disclose the problems Marcus was causing...until now.

I'm assuming jdiddy is staying put in china so there's a good chance

Speaking of which, in about a week or so should we start signups?

I'm so excited to see what Melvin Gordon can do!

Me too. It suddenly feels like we are stacked at rb with a healthy Woodhead, the flashy change of pace Oliver, and Gordon. I hope Green can fill in ok for Gates the first four games. Gates is like Rivers' security blanket. Royal kind of was too. Hopefully Woodhead can catch some short passes and not just run it up the middle (never understood why they just ran Woodhead up the middle).

I'm hoping that Gates' absence is an opportunity that the young/new guys seize. I want to see Keenan prove he's our go-to receiver; I want to see Stevie Johnson prove that his year in San Fran was a fluke and that he can actually be a dangerous, Eddie Royal type weapon; I want to see Melvin set up our passing game (first down runs of 4+ yards is something we haven't seen since LT). Honestly, if Gordon can provide any sort of stability in the backfield, our offense should be pretty darn balanced.

Sure, I kind of hate doing the draft so early normally for fantasy purposes, but for something to do, and for entertainment, perhaps we should start it soon.

Maybe someone can come up with a list of who is in which league and ask if anyone else wants to participate? Kerrsed?

I don't consider losing the organization's trust as trashing the Suns. Dragic went about it fairly respectfully and was honest about what he wanted, otherwise the drama could have dragged on and he would have left the Suns for probably nothing in return.

Do you remember how **** badly he trashed this organization? No apology will EVER make up for what he did during practice when he was still on the team. I guess he forgot about karma for a second :censored:

Sunsdeuce wrote:Markeiff and his situation (that he and his brother created) is getting annoying. Almost as annoying as all the Patriots fans trying to convince everyone Tom Brady is completely innocent. I think what I am most annoyed with about Markeiff and Marcus is the lack of integity. They are the one's who had a ridiculous amount of Techs, assaulted a harmless old man, screamed at the coach, called fans terrible and bandwagon. Instead of pointing the finger at themselves for all the problems they made, they are still pointing the finger at everyone else. Sooooo Stupid. Yeah Markeiff has keep his personal feelings quiet (except with a few cryptic messages via twitter) but its quite apparent he doesnt want to be a Sun. And you can bet your A$$ that marcus is talking to him (and screwing with his mind) daily, telling him he needs to leave. Marcus is a complete scumbag and he is bring Markeiff down with him (because Markeiff is more of a follower). I dont know what he market is like for Markeiff right now but I am at the point that I just want him gone. Im all about addition by subtraction.

BTW Gambo gets major props for laying the smackdown on Marcus via twitter!

Sometimes I think things get blown out of porportion. remember last offseason you bashed the hell out of tucker for his DUI calling him cancer to locker room etc. well now the way you say things is that the Morris bros became cancer. Let's not forget how Dragic was being toxic his final days in phx.

I think the media Ramps things up. Markieff is in legal trouble but outside that I don't have a problem with him. Expecislly since Marcus is gone

I'd be interested in playing. Been playing fantasy hoops pretty seriously for 10+ years. It's pretty early to do the draft though. There are other ways to kill time during the offseason. Five or six years ago I participated in a mock draft of the league. It took around 6 weeks. It requires 30 dedicated guys. It was pretty interesting. It was fun to look back on the teams a couple of years later.

He said he didn't trust the FO, and I'm guessing he had reason to do so. He shouldn't have gone public with it, but it is far from trashing the organization.

Well there will definitely be drafts and threads probably in September, which if far earlier than I would want to draft. If I was going to draft really early I would probably do it in August because sports is dead. It's not like September gives us much more insight.

Since I know people will want to draft in September, should we just start the process now? I'm not asking you personally Plonden, but everyone.

"The defense attorneys for Marcus and Markieff Morris have asked a Maricopa County Superior Court judge to return the case to a grand jury because they say prosecutors falsely presented information that led to an indictment on charges of aggravated assault.

Prosecutors presented "false and misleading evidence" and withheld information vital to the case, the Morris twins' attorneys said in motion to return the case to a grand jury to determine whether there is probable cause to indict the NBA players."

fwiw I had a dream last night that I was jacking up right corner 3s with JR Smith on the Suns. We were winning by quite a margin and were playing against the Wiz.

Outstanding! Marcus will get off on a technicality...Go Justice System!! :noway:

In all honesty, I DO very much appreciate the best justice system in the world, and I get the need for ensuring that everyone is provided with an honest and fair trial, but it's a shame when those truly guilty get off on technicalities (and I'm not saying the MoBros are guilty, btw).

In this case, the evidence seems sufficient enough that it should go to trial, is all I'm saying. And actually, I personally doubt either of them actually 'participated'. But I am fairly confident, that at the very least, they were aware of what was going on at the time, and while that doesn't necessarily make them guilty (I don't think), they sure as heck didn't do anything to prevent it.

On the fantasy basketball piece, I might be interested. I've never participated, and I like the idea of separating the 'nuggets' from the experienced. I have done Fantasy Football a couple of times, though, so I get the premise.

They are actually doing a mock draft like that somewhere in these forums. I think the trade and transaction/game forum or something like that.

Here it is. It's the GMAT game...look how many threads there are now. Just a couple of weeks ago, when I got an email about it, there was only one thread I think. It looks very extensive. viewforum.php?f=340
